Next weekend, July 9-10 th, we will have representatives from LAMP Catholic Ministries share with us about their mission. LAMP Missionaries are lay persons who serve full time among the materially poor, primarily here in the New York Archdiocese. They bring the Good News of the love of Jesus into areas where the Catholic presence is minimal or absent, such as shelters for homeless families, crisis pregnancy outreaches in the South Bronx, through a street outreach of food and evangelization using a canteen truck, and other outreaches. We will be holding a second collection for them following their presentation; please be as generous as your means will permit. Thank you.
