3 MADONNA DEL CASTELLO & WORD OF GOD PARISHES LOOK FOR THE LIGHTHOUSE MEDIA To put it simply: the Holy Spirit bothers us. Because he moves us, he makes us walk, he pushes the Church to go forward. And we are like Peter at the Transfiguration: 'Ah, how wonderful it is to be here like this, all together!'... But don't bother us. We want the Holy Spirit to doze off... we want to domesticate the Holy Spirit. And that's no good. because he is God, he is that wind which comes and goes and you don't know where. He is the power of God, he is the one who gives us consolation and strength to move forward. But: to move forward! And this bothers us. It's so much nicer to be comfortable. Hand Made Religious Articles by the Sisters of Saint Elisabeth Convent in Belarus, Russia will be available at the Parish Center at Word of God Tues., Feb. 27, 10:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. The Sisterhood of Saint Elisabeth was founded in For more than 15 years our sisters have been rendering spiritual, social and financial support to the sick and suffering at the National Psychiatric Clinic, boarding home for children with special needs and mentally challenged adults, and a TB clinic. To help these people workshops were established on the grounds of the Convent. Many of these sick people have a possibility to express themselves in art for God working together with the nuns and sisters and making beautiful articles (hand painted icons, crosses, crucifixes, woodcarvings, embroidered and ceramic gifts, and vestments). All these goods are made with love and prayer and bring blessing to the home. You will support many people in need by purchasing items of devotions for yourselves and your loved ones.

Donations of books, DVDs, etc. are being accepted now. A Woman Called by God to Save a Nation: Joan of Arc Thursday March 15 7:00p.m.at the Word of God Parish Library. Paul Osterman will present a program on the saint s life and spirituality. Experience an intriguing and indepth look into the character and faith of St. Joan of Arc through her childhood, call at age 17, year of triumph, year of suffering, her sainthood, and so much more. Two outstanding DVD series presented by Bishop Robert Barron are available for borrowing Catholicism, a 10-part series on the goodness and truth of the Catholic faith, and Catholicism: the Pivotal Players, a 6-part presentation on the Catholic Church s most influential religious and historical people. In all of Bishop Barron s programs, he uses beautiful music, art, architecture, and venues from around the world to take everyone on a spiritual journey to a deeper understanding of our faith.
