Adam Smith Rite of Christian Initiation For Adults and Children Are you someone or do you know of someone who has expressed an interest in becoming Catholic? Come and pray together in this beautiful setting. Faith Formation News E H S Y M All students in Grades 9 12 should fill out and return a registration form for the upcoming year. Plans for the year ahead will be discussed at the first session. Any adult interested in working with the high school youth should contact the Parish Office. Note: Volunteers need clearances and we are happy to help you with these forms. M S F F All Are Welcome! First session for Middle School Students (Grades ) is Monday Night, October 1 st from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the St. Mary Parish Center lower level. Mount Vernon Avenue, Uniontown). G K-5 F F First session for students in Grades K-5 is Tuesday Evening, October 2 nd from 6:15-7:30 p.m. at the St. Therese Parish Center lower level. S P C 2018 The Celebration of the Sacrament of Confirmation will take place on Saturday, December 1, Youth in Grade 8 in this school year will be candidates for this Sacrament. Parent Information Meeting: Thursday, September 20 th at 7:00 p.m. The meeting will be held at the St. Therese Parish Center upper level. May perpetual light shine upon her and all the faithful departed. Parish Feast Day Next Saturday, September 8 th, we celebrate the Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mary s birthday. Not much is known about Mary s childhood, but we acknowledge St. Ann and St. Joachim as Mary s parents. The Church teaches that Mary was chosen by God from the moment of her conception to be filled with grace in preparation for her role as the Mother of Jesus. On this day, let us thank God for the blessings He bestows on Our Parish and through Mary s intercession for us, we ask God to fill us with grace so that our lives may follow his will.
