Thank you also for keeping me in your thoughts and prayers as you are in mine. I pray that you all remain focused within Christ and that his spirit intercedes in times of weakness, giving you continuation to live in accordance with his spirit and bringing you all what you hope for in this New Year. I must give special praise and thanks to Muriel who incredibly carries on her phenomenal work at Christ Church, who inspires us, not only with her presence, but with her devotion to the Lord as well, not to mention the task of looking out for you lot! Ashworth & Rattenbury Guitars There will be a Lunchtime Concert on Tuesday, 23 rd January from 12.30pm to 1.30pm Christ Church welcomes back Jon Rattenbury and Brian Ashworth for GUITAR DUETS, including music from their new CD Duologue Tea, coffee and biscuits will be served before and after the performance. No charge for entry, donations welcomed on exit for Church Church. Poetry at Christ Church Hugh Hellicar, a member of our Christ Church family will be giving a talk on Poetry at Christ Church on Tuesday, 6 th February at 12.30pm. Hugh was a Schoolmaster in the Sixties and was priested in the Seventies when he ministered to Nursing Homes. He co-founded Rainbow Poetry in 1994 organising readings in Care Homes on an ecumenical basis. This work continues on an inter-faith footing. Hugh himself is an accomplished poet and has written and produced many poetry books. He and his wife Mary run the regular group held in the Church every month on the third Thursday at 2.30pm to 3.30pm where all are welcome to join in.

10 Women s World Day of Prayer to be held at Christ Church on Friday, 2 nd March 2018 Jenny Chandler and Sylvia Anning are our parish representatives so please ask them for more information! We would appreciate it if all our church family could come and support this very important day, as this is the first time that we have hosted this annual event. Despite the name, EVERYONE is very welcome, men, women and children. During the weeks leading up to the day, each Sunday, we will be singing one of each of the hymns or songs that will be in the Service so we are all familiar with them.
