People: God has called each of us before we were even born. Leader: It was God who named us. People: It is God who claims us. Leader: The light of God s love shines in us. 2 PRAYER OF ADORATION & THANKSGIVING RESPONSIVE READING - Leader: He gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers. People: For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ. Leader: These things command and teach. Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity. People: Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine. Leader: Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery. Leader: Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them; for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself and them that hear thee. Leader: But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.
