8 All those who are lonely, sick, grieving or troubled The Bible Society ask us to pray for: Africa Thanksgiving for new partnerships to bring the scriptures to more places like Mozambique. Please pray for an end to the famine in South Sudan, and praise God for continued Bible work there and for wisdom as their teams in Africa decide which areas of Bible translation, distribution and engagement work are the top priorities over the next few years. Wednesday Coffee mornings Many thanks to all come along to support the Wednesday coffee mornings. On the 16 th August was raised for Christ Church. It was a busy morning, with many visitors, so well worthwhile! Dates for your diary! PLEASE NOTE AMENDED START TIME!! 9th September at 2pm, VOX NYMBURGENSIS, a mixed choir from Prague will be presenting a short concert at Christ Church. Admission free, donations welcomed on exit. Tuesday 12 th September 12.30pm to 1.30pm - Back by popular demand! Madelaine Jones, award winning pianist, returns by popular request to play for us.

9 SATURDAY 2 nd SEPTEMBER am 2.30pm Come and support our Annual Fair, with many stalls, live music, hot lunches, raffle and tombola. Proceeds will go to the Christ Church Organ Fund. Many thanks for all contributions so far. We still need more BOOKS, DVD'S, CD'S and BRIC A BRAC items plus the wrapped bottles for the BOTTLE BONANZA stall and new RAFFLE PRIZES asap, please as they will all need sorting etc. Homemade cakes and preserves would be most welcome nearer the time and please see the list at the back of the church if you can offer your help in any way. Please would those contributing saleable and raffle items put them in the designated pew areas at the back of the church [north-west corner] for pricing. NB. No Electrical goods please! The church will be open for stall holders to set up on FRIDAY, 1st SEPT from 10.30am until 4pm
