2 Pope Francis: The Easter Triduum is the apex of our Christian life 2017 Easter Triduum at Ascension & St. Bernard HOLY THURSDAY MASS OF THE LORD S SUPPER April 13 th 7pm at St. Bernard (INCENCE WILL BE USED) The 7 sacraments are the primary means by which God infuses his divine life into us. Last year Pope Francis has decreed that the optional Holy Thursday foot washing be modified in such a way as to enable the Pastors of the Church from now on to choose the candidates for the rite from among all members of the People of God. Therefore as we did for last Holy Thursday we will again underscore the vital importance of the sacraments by washing the feet of parishioners have recently or will soon celebrate various sacraments. Keeping watch with our Lord: Adoration & reading of the Farewell Discourses (chapters of the Gospel of John) following Mass, ending with Night Prayer at 9:15pm. Guest Speaker Mary Kellett from Prenatal Partners for Life Wed, April 5 th at St Bernard Church, 6:40 p.m.-7:45 p.m. Mary Kellett from Prenatal Partners for Life will share her inspiring pro-life message with our young people, their parents, and any parishioners from Ascension or St Bernard's that want to come and hear her story. Mary is scheduled to be with us from 6:40-7:45 pm. Mary was featured at the Respect Life event hosted at Ascension two years ago, and her sharing was touching. This special event is being sponsored by the Respect Life group at Ascension. The Cologne Fire Relief are our meal sponsors that night, and they will be grilling. If you are coming to hear Mary, please know you are also welcome to join us in the St Bernard's cafeteria for a burger or hot dog meal. We will serve from 5:45-6:20 pm. All are Welcome! Rosary at the Harbor during Lent Each Monday during Lent, parishioners are invited to come to the 2 nd floor at the Harbor to pray the Rosary with the residents at 10:15 a.m. This will run through April 10 th.
