BUILDING FUND PUSHKAS Ohav Emeth has an annual tradition of collecting Building Fund Pushkah money on the first night of Selichot. This year, the first night of Selichot will be on Saturday evening (early Sunday morning) September 21st. Please bring your full or nearly full Building Fund Pushkahs to Selichot services and receive a new one in return. If you cannot make it to shul at this time, please give your pushkah to Murray Katz or the shul office or call Murray at to make special arrangements. Everyone is invited to participate in this mitzvah. Please pick up an empty pushkah at Selichot services or request one from Murray or the shul office. Community Happenings EMERGENCY FAMILY APPEAL We have recently become aware that a member of our community is in great need. She is a well known and respected member of both the RPRY and East Brunswick communities, and has been sick for some time, battling a life threatening illness. Currently, her medical situation is grave. We are forming an emergency appeal in order to help alleviate the overwhelming financial burden placed on the family as a result of the tremendously high medical expenses required for her ongoing treatment. Your urgent contributions would be greatly appreciated. David and Miriam Goldstein will be delivered this year on Sunday evening, September 21st at 8 PM at Congregation Ohr Torah. This year's lecture, entitled "Repentance and the Power of Oneness", will be given by Rabbi Mordechai Becher, internationally acclaimed Senior Lecturer at Gateways Seminars, Ohr Sameach, and Neve Yerushalayim, and Professor of Jewish History and Thought at Yeshiva University.
