A short class is held the second Tuesday of the month at 7pm in the Rectory. Communal Baptisms are at 1pm the second Sunday of the month or any Sunday at the 11:30am Mass. ANOINTING OF THE SICK Please contact the Rectory when someone is about to undergo a serious surgery or has a great risk to health. MATRIMONY Marriage arrangements should begin a year before the proposed date of the wedding by making an appointment with the Pastor. RITE OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION OF ADULTS We welcome adults considering membership in the Catholic Church and those desiring to complete their sacraments. RICA is for you. It is a process that entails weekly informal classes in the Rectory, call for information.

3 We are in the process of Registra on and Re-Registra on for the upcoming Cateche cal Year We hope and pray that everyone will be joining us again. A reminder for families that have a child entering the first grade in September or are a new registra on for any grade. We will need a copy of your child s Bap smal Cer ficate and any other Sacramental Cer ficates that they have received. All registra ons should be made in person. However, if you need a registra on form mailed to you, please contact the Rectory office. Registra ons will be accepted through May 31st. A er this date a late fee of $40.00 will be charged because we lose the book discount a er May 31st. I look forward to mee ng your children. Monsignor Edward Barry SAINT ANDREW A new statue was added to our parish church for public veneration on April 21st with a dedication and blessing In Memory of Andrew Prior, a distinguished member of the Holy Name Society. The Holy Name Society of our parish, thought so much of Andrew Prior s love for the parish they erected this statue in his honor. St. Andrew, the first Apostle called by Christ was the older brother of St. Peter and former disciple of John the Baptist. He is mentioned several times in the Gospel. He spread the Gospel through Asia Minor and the Black Sea area. He met a martyr s death on an X shaped cross which is depicted behind the saint. GOLDEN WEDDING JUBILEE MASS Couples celebrating their 50th Wedding Anniversary during 2018 are invited to attend the Golden Wedding Jubilee Mass with Cardinal Dolan at St. Patrick s Cathedral on Sunday, June 3rd, at 2:15pm. Pre-registration is required. Please contact the Rectory to register. The closing date to register for the Mass is Monday, May 14, Pews will be reserved for Golden Jubilee couples and one (1) family/friend to provide any needed assistance. Additional guests will be accommodated in pews outside the reserved section. All Golden Jubilee couples will receive a commemorative certificate. Couples who are unable to attend the Mass can request a certificate through their parish. Mandatory attendance is required for our 2nd Grade students on both days, please. Parents are not required to stay during practice. Children's / Family Mass and Crowning of our Blessed Mother - Sunday, May 6th at the 9:30am Mass. Registration forms have been mailed to registered families in the program. Registration for incoming first graders, or, families new to the area may be obtained from the Religious Education Office, from the Rectory Office or in the vestibule of the Church. Please remember to include a copy of your child's Baptismal Certificate for new and first grade children. We are still seeking Catechists for the Religious Education School year. We are in need of practicing Catholics who have received the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Communion and Confirmation). Training is offered for new Catechists. It is required by the Archdiocese of New York to complete a background check and view the "Safer Spaces" training video.
