A short class is held the second Tuesday of the month at 7pm in the Rectory. Communal Baptisms are at 1pm the second Sunday of the month or any Sunday at the 11:30am Mass. ANOINTING OF THE SICK Please contact the Rectory when someone is about to undergo a serious surgery or has a great risk to health. MATRIMONY Marriage arrangements should begin a year before the proposed date of the wedding by making an appointment with the Pastor. RITE OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION OF ADULTS We welcome adults considering membership in the Catholic Church and those desiring to complete their sacraments. RICA is for you. Each winning number is then returned to the basket making it eligible again for the next month s drawing. The cost to purchase a ticket is $ or you may choose to share the cost of the ticket with others. You will be getting a solicitation in the mail to participate by selecting numbers 1 through 500 on a first come, first served basis. Loving God includes daily prayer, worship, spiritual nourishment in the Eucharist and Scripture Readings. To assist our students on their daily faith journey since the beginning of the Religious Education school year they have attended the Mass of the Holy Spirit, Sunday Mass including the Children s/family Mass. On November 1 they attended Mass for All Saint s Day. On Sunday Nov. 5 the students and their families were invited to the Children s/family Catechesis Mass with the Saints as the theme. Our Confirmation Candidates also attended this Mass and publically prayed their commitment Prayer to be active witnesses daily to Christ in our community and the world. The Rite of Reconciliation (Confession) will be made available during class time to help them to be properly prepared to say to Jesus Merry Christmas. The chief corporal Works of Mercy are: Focus on the physical & material needs of others 1. To feed the hungry 2. To give drink to the thirsty 3. To clothe the naked 4. To care for the sick 5. 4 ADVENT EVANGELIZATION DOOR KNOCKING In the coming weeks, on Saturdays during Advent, parishioners will be encouraging and welcoming our friends and neighbors to return back to the Church. With Advent leading up to Christmas, it s a great time to welcome those who have been away to come back to Jesus and celebrate His Birth in the Mass. HOLY ROSARY CHRISTMAS PROJECT Our Annual Christmas Project has begun. As in the past we will be providing gifts to many poor and needy families in the South Bronx. Return the wrapped gift with the ornament attached next weekend December 2nd / 3rd. We will be working in the gym on Sunday, December 3rd to prepare your gifts for delivery to the Bronx on Monday the 4th. Please call Jerry Comerford at if you would like more information. Everyone is welcome to join us in honoring Our Lady of Guadalupe, the life of the unborn and soon to be born. Any donation you wish to make in the way of new clothes for newborns and toddlers, diapers, gift cards for Target, etc., and scented soaps and lotions for expectant mothers will be greatly appreciated. If you cannot attend this event, a bassinet will be in the vestibule for your donated gifts.
