Oh where - Oh where - Can she be? PRO LABORE DEI UPDATE Pro Labore Dei has found a new home! Beginning November 24th, PLD will be moving from the Robbins Police/ Fire Stations to the Robbins Community Center It s only a couple of blocks away from the current location The new address will be South Trumbull, Robbins, ILPLD is excited about the move and is grateful to the Police and Fire Departments for their hospitality and for their continued watch over the PLD mission after the move NOVEMBER LUNCHES FOR PRO LABORE DEI The next trip to Robbins to serve the poor will be Saturday, November 24th We will meet in the rectory basement at 10:00am to prepare lunches, clean up and head out by 11:00am We will need help with the following donations, assembling the lunches and volunteers to go to Robbins If you can help with any of these, please contact our team The need continues to grow in Robbins! We have been asked to increase our lunches from 100 to 150! (Quantities are large, please feel free to offer apportion whatever the need is!) 17 loaves of bread 6 large heads of iceberg lettuce 15 tomatoes 6 cases of water ***Our 3rd Grade Gil Scout Troop will be there to help us prepare We still need help with preparing the tags for the giving tree and assembling sanitary kits volunteers are needed to help us prepare and package the lunches in the rectory basement Help is needed driving and unloading donations and distributing lunches to the poor Items for sanitary kits for men, women or children are always needed Donations of toothbrushes, toothpaste, socks, razors, shave cream, soap, shampoo, conditioner, chap stick, ban aids, lotion, feminine products, wsh cloths, wipes, first aid cream, sun block are gratefully accepted There is always a need for diapers sizes, e, 4, 5 Also, donations of winter clothing and shoes (winter coat, blankets, boots, gloves, and warm socks are needed during these winter months) Please contact Amy (708) or Pam (773) for more information Please follow our face book page SJF Service Opportunities
