3 Living Out Our Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary The Archbishop s homily at the Consecration of the Archdiocese to the Immaculate Heart of Mary included suggestions of ways to live out the Consecration through increased practices of prayer, penance, and adoration. Donations for the Homeless in Marin St Patrick s K-8 Faith Formation Program s community service project this month is helping out the Ritter Center in San Rafael. They are in need of: New adult socks Rain ponchos (like those available at CVS) Gently used sleeping bags Donations can be dropped off in the gym on 2/4 and 2/11 from 8:45am - 11:00am. St. Vincent de Paul Society Vehicle Program St. Vincent de Paul of Marin has launched a new vehicle donation program in collaboration with SVDP National s vehicle vendor, CARS. If you have a car that you would like to donate for a tax deduction, you can call or go online and fill out the donation form at vinnies.careasy.org/home.html. Your gift supports the SVDP Free Dining Room in San Rafael which serves over 500 meals daily. BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION St. Patrick's is continuing the Box Tops fundraiser and we could use your help! After you purchase your favorite participating products, cut out the small box top, put it into a sealed bag, and drop it in the containers located in the Church vestibule. Each box top earns cash which we will use for numerous programs for our school children. Thank you for your participation! Divorce Support Group Monthly: First & Third Wednesdays 7:30-9:00 p.m. St. Stephen Church, O Reilly Parish Center, 451 Eucalyptus Dr., San Francisco Our Archdiocese has a special group for all who have endured the pain of separation and divorce. We recognize that through their vulnerability and patient endurance, they bear witness to Christ and His redeeming grace. Mass Requests Offering a Mass for a dearly departed one or for a special intention for a friend or family member is a wonderful gift. Masses can bring comfort for those physically or emotionally ill and in need of healing and prayers. Masses are also a thoughtful gift to celebrate a birthday or special milestone. You are welcome to stop by the rectory office between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and we will be most happy to assist you with your request.

4 Mass for World Day of the Sick Saturday, February 10, 11:00 am St. Mary s Cathedral, 1111 Gough Street, San Francisco Principal Celebrant: Cardinal William Levada The Anointing of the Sick will take place. All are invited. The event is sponsored by the Order of Malta, which will arrange rides for people who need them. The Order of Malta says: Bring a friend who is sick and experience a special time of prayer and sharing, of offering one s suffering for the good of the Church and of reminding everyone to see in his sick brother or sister the face of Christ. The theme for this year s Day of the Sick is provided by the words that Jesus spoke from the Cross to Mary, his Mother, and to John: Woman, behold your son Son, behold your mother. SACRAMENT OF MATRIMONY Couples are required to make arrangements with the Parish six months prior to the desired date of marriage and to attend a Marriage Preparation Program. COMMUNION AND CARE FOR THE HOMEBOUND Helping Hands provides limited assistance to parishioners in need, prepares monthly socials, and assigns Eucharistic Ministers to bring Communion to those who are unable to attend Mass. Contact the Parish Office for more information. SACRAMENT OF ANOINTING OF THE SICK This Sacrament is for those who are elderly, seriously ill, or scheduled for major surgery. For those who are homebound, please contact the Parish Office for this Sacrament. Please inform us if family members are hospitalized.
