Catholic Appeal 2018 I am pleased to share that St. Elizabeth Parish has raised $63,575 toward our 2018 Catholic Appeal goal of $70,763. If you have yet to give, we need your help! July 22 ~ Sixteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time The disciples return to tell Jesus about the work he had sent them to do. Take a few moments today to look back over the past week to those times when you, like the disciples, did works of charity or mercy. Offer a prayer of gratitude to God for those times you spoke a healing word, or offered comfort to a person in their loss, or welcomed a newcomer to your parish. Ask for the grace to respond to the opportunities that will arise for you this week. MCC Caring Circle or Linking those in need with those who can help. There are many ways to remember our loved ones both living and deceased. Anniversary, Birthday, and Memorial Masses, donations of Flowers, Altar Breads and Wine and Sanctuary Light are just a few. Altar Breads and Wine Altar Flowers (1 Basket) Sanctuary Light For Celiac Sufferers At St. Elizabeth s, we have low-gluten hosts available made by Benedictine nuns in Clyde, Missouri, that contain less than 0.01 percent of gluten. Medical research has deemed this level to be safe for most celiac sufferers. Please alert the priest before Mass if you would like to receive Communion in this manner. Hope of the Nations: A conference sponsored by Hope Conferences and the Archdiocese of Boston is returning on Sept. 15 to Lowell Memorial Auditorium. The program runs from 8:30AM-6:00PM, doors open at 8:00. "Hope, Healing and Deliverance" is this year's theme. Keynote speakers include Dr. Ralph Martin, noted author, speaker, and professor on topics related to the New Evangelization and Consultor to the Pontifical Council for the New Evangelization; and Dr. Mary Healy, professor of Sacred Scripture at Sacred Heart Major Seminary in Detroit and an author/speaker on evangelization, scripture, healing, and the spiritual life. Annual Silver and Golden Anniversary Mass If you are celebrating your 25th or 50th wedding anniversary this year, please join Cardinal Seán O'Malley on Sunday, Oct. 28 at St. Mary Parish in Waltham at 4:00PM for the annual Anniversary Mass with renewal of vows. Weather permitting, please join us every Wednesday evening at 6:30 pm on the lawn outside by Our Lady of Fatima Shrine to pray the rosary. If the weather is bad, we will pray the rosary inside the church. Please pray for all those listed in our Prayer Petition Book located in the front entrance of the church.
