2 Welcome We are very glad to have you worshiping our gracious God with us today. To Our Guests, We especially welcome you today! More information about today s worship service can be found on page 19 of this bulletin. All Saints Day Today we observe All Saints Day. Scripture reveals that there is spiritual and everlasting oneness in the true Church of our Lord Jesus Christ, a oneness that transcends death. Thus, the Church is comprised of the elect of God those already in heaven, those on earth who are redeemed by the blood of the Lamb and those who are yet to come to saving faith. 6 The Personal Confession of Sin (Please kneel if able to do so) The Corporate Confession of Sin Father in Heaven, you are the covenant keeping God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and you are our God, too. Although we acknowledge your great faithfulness to us and to all the saints who have gone before us, we admit that we are often faithless. We doubt your wisdom, power, goodness and love. We confess to you that although we are surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses, we are weak-hearted and cowardly. We have not taken up our cross to follow you, but instead have chosen the way of ease, comfort and security. According to your mercy, forgive our cold, apathetic, selfish hearts. Pour out your grace upon us that we might live lives worthy of the calling we have received. Teach us the joy of losing our lives for your gospel and work in us that apostolic mind that counts it a joy to suffer for the Name. Preserve us by your grace that we might endure to the end and join the heavenly throng in the eternal worship and enjoyment of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen. Spiritual Care If you would like to speak to someone about what it means to know Jesus Christ or you have any spiritual need or question, please use one of the prayer cards in the pew rack to contact one of our pastors. Our church elders are also available to speak with you. An elder will be standing next to the pastor following the service. Children s Check-in We are committed to the highest level of protection possible for the children placed in our care on Sundays and at all church events. For this reason, we require parents of newborns through fifth grade children to check in their children before they go to the nursery, Sunday School, Catechism, Children s Church or any other children s activity. Several kiosks are available in the Welcome Center. The process is quick and easy, and volunteers are available if you need assistance checking in. Children s Worship We offer a specially designed program for children in pre-k through fourth grade during the morning services. A leader will escort children from the sanctuary to their classrooms during the hymn of preparation. Parents are welcome to accompany them to observe where to pick them up after the service. Parents of children in pre-k through second grade are asked to pick up their children following Sunday School or the 11 a.m. worship service. Nursery Nurseries are provided for infants and toddlers during the worship services and Sunday School. We also provide a Mother/Infant Room located beside Nursery 1 which is equipped with live video feed of the worship services. Ushers are available to direct you. Additional Seating Additional seating for morning and evening worship services is available each week in St. Andrew s Hall. 19
