4 Feast of the Holy Family December 30, 2018 Music Teacher needed for Academy of Angels Preschool St. Michael Catholic School is currently accepting applications for a part-time Music Enrichment Teacher beginning January This position will be a few mornings each week between 8:30-10:30. Responsibilities include: Introduce small groups of children (ages 3-5) to the world of music using songs, simple instruments, and a variety of instruction materials, resources, and experiences. Prepare and lead our annual Christmas program and spring concert. Qualifications: High school diploma required, college degree preferred. Strong vocal skills a must; ability to play piano or other musical instruments a plus. Applicant should have musical background and experience working with small children. Student Council would like to thank all of our students who demonstrated the virtue of generosity by giving to the Baby and the Mi en Tree projects this month! Together we were able to collect 31 packs of diapers, 51 packages of wipes, and two baby lo ons to donate to Women s Resource Center. The children at Head Start will receive 95 pairs of gloves/mi ens, 61 hats, and two scarves. This is a wonderful display of work from many of our generous saints-in-training. 8 S A C R E D H E A R T M A J O R S E M I N A R Y Day Trip Day-trip to Sacred Heart Major Seminary (Detroit, Michigan) with Fr. Phil Smith, director of priestly vocations, Diocese of Toledo. JANUARY 26, 2019 Upon arrival at the seminary, we will enjoy a short tour of the main areas of the seminary (chapel, library, classrooms, etc.). Following the tour, we will meet with our Toledo seminarians, have a brief overview of seminary formation, hear their vocation stories, and have some time or question and answers. Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 AM with the seminary community, followed by a hot lunch on campus. After lunch, we will visit the Solanus Casey Center, before returning to Perrysburg. 9 St. Michael the Archangel Parish offers Middle School ministry! Arise is open to 7 th and 8 th grade students looking to engage in the Catholic teachings through fun, fellowship, and faith-filled activities. The program uses themes from Dynamic Catholic s Decision Point series to spark enthusiasm for the Catholic faith within the youth. One Friday night a month from 7pm to 10pm these youth meet to grow and experience the love of God with their peers in a community effort to support their journey with Christ. This month s activity is scheduled for Jan. 4. The youth are invited to join us for a night of food, fun, and fellowship looking at tradition from 7pm to 10pm.
