2 From your Vicar. For Americans, the month of November is important as the Thanksgiving month. But for Marthomites all over the world, November is the special month to pay more attention on children. As a God-given duty, this is a time to dedicate our children and ourselves for the way have to be moulded and oriented. Here comes the importance of family in keeping good traditions and practices of prayer and devotional life, doing service and charity and also imparting values and principles such as truth, accountability of life before God etc. The system of School is blessed with the ways and means of equipping children for the total growth of Christ-like personalities. Interestingly, World School Day observance (first in November) comes after Family. As the first and most important spiritual nursery for children, family should value its role as stations of moulding with meticulous moral orientations and discernment. By the grace of God, our children are blessed with material prosperity and abundance of luxuries than our childhood and youth age. Here, as parents and elders we should not fail to point our children towards the real purpose of life and paths and programs to reach that goal. November 15 th is the special day for submitting the Suvisesha Nidhi that we have been setting apart for the Mission of our Diocese. Please use the envelope that is provided along with the News Letter and submit your share for Mission Fund with a point of accountability and mission commitment. November is also the month of election of Office Bearers of Organizations and Parish. Each time of service and opportunity of responsibility is God-given. Please keep this in mind with seriousness and honesty before God while making suggestions and accepting responsibilities. May this month be a novel and memorable month in our journey of faith.
