1 Sunday, December 28, 2014 Joyful Expectation of Christ s Coming General Body Meeting Notice A General Body meeting of St. Paul's Mar Thoma Church, Dallas will be held TODAY, December 28, 2014 after the Holy Qurbana Service in the church sanctuary to transact the following agenda. Agenda: Prayer group re-alignment. Next phase of facility expansion plans. Agreement to initiate actions to realize the 2 nd phase of the facility expansion. Dissolve the existing building & sub-committees and appoint a task force to develop and recommend the scope and cost estimates of the 2 nd phase. The task force make up. 2 Worship Service On next Sunday, 01/04, Holy Qurbana Service will be conducted in English starting at 10:15 am. Thanks to Ebenezer Prayer fellowship for assisting in today s Worship Service. Today s refreshments is provided by Ms. Jaya James. Thank you. Upcoming Church Programs Watch Night service, Thanksgiving and Dedication will be conducted on Wednesday, 12/31. Witnessing and dedication will 09:30 pm followed by Holy Qurbana 11:00 pm. 2

3 1/13/2015 Special Prayer Fellowships Monday Prayer fellowship will be held tomorrow, 12/29 starting at 7:00 pm at the residence of Mr. & Mrs. Soji & Ligy Skariah. Fasting prayer on this Friday, 01/02 at 10:00 am at the residence of Mr. Varghese A. Varghese. SS Announcements 12/28/14 Parents & Teachers, just as a reminder, we will have Sunday School next week starting at 8:30 AM. Parents please make sure to bring your children on time. The 2014 Annual Sports Tournament was held yesterday. Thank you to all that helped to make this a successful event. A special thanks to Joseph Koshy & Thomas Mathew (Shiju), for coordinating the event. Annual Sunday School Dedication Night will be TODAY, December 28th, from 7PM9PM. This will be a joint event with the Youth Fellowship. Teachers and students, please plan to attend. Mr. Jojy Koshy will lead the dedication devotion. Sunday School would like to thank all the students that participated in the Christmas Carol play. I t was an outstanding performance. 4 Youth Fellowship A special thanks to Christine and Jojy Koshy for hosting the YF Christmas party this past Friday. Thanks to all that came out and celebrated! A few of our youths will be in Boston attending the national youth conference. Please keep the conference in your prayers and pray for traveling mercies for all the youths who will be attending. The YF officers of 2014 would like to thank each youth member and the church as a whole for helping make 2014 a productive and eventful year! Looking forward to all God has in store for 2015! St. Paul's Yuvajana Sakhyam General Body meeting will be held on Sunday 04 January soon after worship service at our church. Agenda: Election of 2015 Executive Committee AOB. BAIJU MARKOSE LUTHERAN SCHOOL OF THEOLOGY, CHICAGO Choir The choir audition for both English & Malayalam choirs will be conducted on Saturday, 01/03/2015 starting at 09:00 am. The term of the choir will be 5 years. Those who would like to be a member of either or both choirs are requested to sign up for the audition with the choir secretary, Mr. Abraham Koshy (Santhosh) on or before 12/31/2014. Audition is required for both current and future choir members. Mr. John Thomas & Shawn Thomas will be available after the General Body to provide audition song practice. 7 Dept of Sacred Music and Communications Principles of Operation The largest choir in the church is the congregation. Role of choir in leading worship is to help our congregation sing together and experience the presence of God. Leading the congregation in hymns and prayers is absolutely essential for worship, since praise is much desired by God. Musicians are ministers appointed by God and music Appreciation I want to recognize Mrs. Jolly Babu for donating Bibles for the first communicants and Sunday School students. 7

8 Fiscal Responsibility The pledge contributions as of December 25 th is posted on the Notice Board. If you owe contributions for Picnic ($20.00), Diocesan Sunday, Diocesan Development fund, Harvest festival ($30.00/family), Auction, etc. please pay these dues TODAY itself. If you are not sure whether you have paid, please check with the trustees. Monthly Pledge arrears at a glance: Agape - $ 16, Ebenezer - $ 12, Emmanuel - $ 15, Manna - $ 11, Total - $ 69, Trustees need your checks TODAY itself. Credit cards are accepted as well.
