Free Online Classes are offered by Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. 3 Page 3 RePurpose Coastal Women s Retreat 2017 Join us for our women's retreat, February 24-26, 2017! We may feel we serve many different purposes, fulfilling the rolls of mother, wife, career builder, etc., but if all the noise of life has caused us to take our eyes off our primary purpose, Jesus Christ, it's time for us to "repurpose" ourselves and align our hearts with His! Guest Speaker, Beth Greer returns to Caswell, bringing a wealth of life experiences and biblical teaching with her that hits home for women of all walks of life. Fantastic music and worship leaders, delicious meals, and meaningful group time rounds out a weekend for women, supported by women, to push each other toward a purpose-filled life for God. Guests for the retreat are housed on campus where meals are also provided on Saturday and Sunday, making the retreat a greater value and more convenient for you! 7 Page 7 SIS/RUBIES MEETING Friday, Dec. 2 6:30 p.m. Jo Lynn s Home (293 Harrison Pond Dr) We will have a guest speaker from UNC Women s Birthing Center, a Doulah. A Doulah is a woman who is trained to assist another woman during childbirth and who may provide support to the family after the baby is born. We will also pack two blessing boxes to send to two young ladies who will not be able to go home for Christmas. One young lady is in the service and the other is our own Jessica Lipofski. Let s open our hearts and bless these young women with the joy of Jesus! Dinner will be soup and dessert...yummy! We look forward to seeing everyone on December 2!

8 Page 8 All Can Serve on a Disaster Relief Team November 12, Pittsboro Baptist Church sent fourteen people to help with Disaster Relief efforts in Fair Bluff. It is the hope and plan to continue to send teams over the many months this recovery will take. The relief effort is still in the mud-out stage, where homes that have been covered in water and mud, are being cleaned up prior to reconstruction. Building skills are not required, just a willingness to work hard. The next Disaster Relief Team will be traveling east again, on December 3. If you are interested in helping December 3 or any future dates, please telephone or Ken Haynes. In the future, when work dates are set, Ken will contact all who have expressed interest to determine who can assist on the specific dates. In other words, by signing up, you are not committing to help every time PBC sends a team. As of now, dates and locations for work sites have not been determined for Prior to the work day, volunteers must complete two forms, NC Baptist Disaster Relief General Medical Information and Participant Liability Release Form, which can be downloaded as a pdf from the Pittsboro Baptist Church website. ( On the home page, select Men under the Ministries list. Workers should wear work boots/shoes, bring work gloves, safety glasses, and ear plugs. If you have demolition tools such as a hammer, pry bar, razor knife, or others, please bring them. There are other ways you can help in the disaster relief efforts. Snacks and water are needed for the PBC teams while they work. Anyone willing to donate items, should contact Ken. Most importantly, prayers are needed for the Relief teams while they travel and work as well as for the hurricane victims our teams are assisting. If you are interested on serving with a Disaster Relief Team, donating water and snacks for the teams, or being a Prayer Warrior, contact Ken Haynes at or at kenhaynes776@gmail.com. Book Leaves Postponed Book Leaves, the PBC Library fundraiser that was announced to occur during the month of November, has been postponed until early It will be a great opportunity to help the library and honor a loved one.
