Prepared by Corey Grier, the Brunch Lady. NOVEMBER WORSHIP SERIES THE TRANSFORMATIVE POWER OR GRATITUDE The November worship series begins next Sunday. Entitled, The Transformative Power of Gratitude: Five People in the Bible Who Gave Thanks with All Their Heart ; this powerful series will move you deeply. Look for our with more details. MONTHLY FOOD COLLECTION FOR AMIGOS EN CHRISTO In November Women of Peace will be collecting dried beans and rice for Bethlehem Lutheran Church s pantry at Amigos Center in Immokalee. Place your donations in the large box in the Narthex. Thank you! MARRIAGE ENRICHMENT PART 3 Karl and Marilouise will be facilitating another marriage enrichment event from 6:30-8pm on Friday, November 9 entitled- "I See You. We'll have conversations on our greatest desire and greatest fear - to be known! It s about the risks and work it takes to get to know each other. We ll use quotes from Pastor Timothy Keller s book, The Meaning of Marriage to guide our conversation. Consider this example: To be loved but not known is comforting but superficial. To be known and not loved is our greatest fear. But to be fully known and truly loved is, well, a lot like being loved by God. It is what we need more than anything. It liberates us from pretense, humbles us out of our self-righteousness, and fortifies us for any difficulty life can throw at us. TIME AND TALENT SURVEY In keeping with our Fields of Gold theme of cheerful giving, here s an opportunity to give of yourself to further the mission of Peace. You may have received a copy of the survey in church last Sunday and copies are available again today. Copies are also available on our website and are attached to the with these announcements. WOMEN OF PEACE BOOK SALE Our own Lutheran Women s Missionary League, Women of Peace, is promoting a new mission in which we can all participate! Through the sale of Mission Nation books, they will support a wonderful mission! You can purchase the inspiring Mission Nation books and half of your purchase price will go directly to the support of the mission. The first mission to benefit is LCMS Disaster Response, to aid those hit hard by the recent hurricanes. Please see the book display in the Narthex. ATTENTION PICKLEBALL PLAYERS! We would like to organize a pickleball group for Peace. This would include all adults, men and women from beginner to pro. If you are interested in playing pickleball, please send an to karl.lindeman@att.net. Once we know how many are interested, we will schedule a time and place to play.
