Refreshments will follow the program. Please invite your neighbours, friends and family. They won t want to miss this special program. CWAA CWAA s Christmas Concert will take place in the CWAA Gym this Thursday, December 13 at 7pm. Students in Grades K-6, the Concert Band, and Concert Choir (Grades 7-12) will perform. This years program is "On This Christmas Day" and will remind us of the special gift of Jesus, our Saviour. A free-will offering will be taken to support a local charity along with a Bake Sale to support the music program. All are welcome to attend! SAGE ALBERTA If you are 50+ and enjoy winter activities like cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, table games, and good food, consider joining this winter retreat being planned for three nights (Mon.-Wed.) in March 2019 at the William Watson Lodge in Kananaskis Country, SW of Calgary. 3 2018 DONATION RECEIPTS Important informa;on Canada Revenue Agency s rule for 2018 dona8ons: The date of donation is the date the gift is actually received by the charity. However, when a charity receives a donation by mail, the Canada Revenue Agency considers the date of donation to be the date of the postmark on the envelope. The charity should keep the stamped envelope as part of its books and records. Failure to comply with CRA rules could result in penal8es to both the church and the donor. Please remember the following requirements for your 2018 dona8ons call Charlene at if you have ques8ons: " The last Sabbath for turning in 2thes and offerings via the offering collec2on is Dec 29. Anything turned in via the offering a=er Dec 29 will be for 2019, even if your cheque is dated in December. " You may donate using Online Giving up to midnight on Dec 31. " You may mail your dona2on up un2l midnight on Dec 31. Ask the postal clerk to postmark your envelope to prove when you mailed it. Please no2fy the office to expect your mailed dona2on. " You may hand your dona8on in at the church office before Dec 21 ask Melanie to write the date received on your envelope and ini8al it, as proof of when it was received by the church. (Note that the office will be closed from Dec 20-Jan 1.) " Do not drop off your dona2on in the mailbox outside the church door, or slide it under the office door or leave it in the treasurer s mailbox. Such dona2ons will be for " Ensure sufficient funds in your bank account to cover your cheque. NSF cheques won t be included in your 2018 dona8on receipt. " Dona2ons are receipted according to the name on the cheque or credit card. Please ensure that the name on your offering envelope matches it. " If the treasurer has been unable to glean your full name and address from your offering envelopes or your online giving profile, you won t get a receipt. If in doubt please supply these details to the church office.
