Promotion of friendship evangelism and relationship building Provide base health evaluation for all participants - weight, bfi, and blood pressure Rent a facility in Panorama to run a full Health Expo in January of 2018, and provide follow-up evaluations to participants. 9 3.0 CHURCH PLANTING 3.1 WHY? The Great Commission vision, go and make disciples, involves pursuing, evangelizing, and discipling lost people. 11 HEALTHY LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT 1.0 ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE Calgary Central is a very large church with many departments and activities, however, a common suggestion expressed by the membership was for better communication at all levels Who do I contact? How can I get involved?, etc. In response to this need the pastoral staff and the REACH team have worked to develop the Calgary Central Organizational Structure Rather than a pyramid indicating top down management, an intentional decision was made to depict a shared responsibility among church leadership and membership as we collectively work to share Christ s message of hope and wholeness Calgary Central has been divided into five broad areas Worship, Outreach, Inreach, Service, and Communication Each area contains related ministries or departments. A directory of who to contact has also been developed and will be available on the church website February WHO IS LEADERSHIP? Pastoral Staff Elders Church Board 2.0 LEADERSHIP RETREAT November each year Plan strategy for the upcoming year Fellowship Mentorship 3.0 MENTORSHIP PROGRAM There is some mentorship now, however, it needs to be more intentional Promote from up front Education and Inspiration Families, couples, Prime Timers share life experiences with youth, young adults New members Spiritual Guardians Mentorship Potluck November MINISTRY AND DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTIONS In progress Ministry Fair November 12, 2016 All ministry leader and departmental leader roles and responsibilities will be compiled and available on the church website September DEVELOP & MAINTAIN CHURCH POLICIES, PROCESSES & PROCEDURES GUIDEBOOK Guidebook on policies and procedures needs to be easy to access and easy to understand In order to be effective, the Guidebook will need to be maintained and kept current Select Administrator(s) to maintain the Guidebook 11
