5 TODAY S LOOSE OFFERING: Local Church Budget We are all fallible people, and on occasions mishaps occur, whether at the local level or higher. The Adventist system is well protected for this, with auditing and other checks and balances. And this is the reason for our periodic nominating committees and constituency meetings. These meetings hold our leaders to accountability. Today s offering is for the local budget. Let us continue to be faithful givers, and have confidence in those we have chosen to direct the work. STEWARDSHIP SPOTLIGHT: Please contribute to the local annual sacrifice fund. Your resources are needed for insurance payments, property taxes, and church school subsidy. Thank you. The TREASURERS AND COUNTERS kindly request that members place tithe & offering in a tithe envelope and remember to put your NAME on it and DESIG- NATE where you would like your funds to go and place it in the offering plate. MINISTRIES COUNCIL: For every event planned at our church a Ministry Request for Facility Needs form must be completed and turned in 2 weeks prior to the event. This will help avoid calendar conflicts. 6 1. Kitchen Use: Please notify Renee O Guinn, kitchen coordinator, two weeks in advance of when you need to use the kitchen. Thank you. 2. Free breakfast: Each Sabbath morning starting at 8:30 we serve a good, healthy meal. All are welcome! To help, please see Shetia Davis. 3. Fellowship Dinner: There will be no potluck after church today due to the Healthy Lifestyle Community Block Party. Please head over to the Frank H. Ball Park Center to lend your support for Fresno Westside. 4. Join the Church Choir! No rehearsal this afternoon due to Block Party. 5. Healthy Lifestyle Community Block Party: today from 10 am-2 pm at the Frank H. Ball Center (760 Mayor Ave.). Sponsors include the police dept., Carter Memorial AME, Sweet Home Missionary Baptist, & Fresno Westside. We will have church services first and then support this event. 6. Prayer Walk Weekend: July 6-8 at the Soquel Conference Center. The weekend includes meals, singing/testimony/praises, a prayer walk, and Agape Feast. VBS June 10-14: Please invite all children ages 4 to 12. We need volunteer teachers and counselors aged 15 and older. Thank you. 14. Graduate/Education Day is on June 23 rd. Please fill out a graduate information form for yourself or son/daughter or grandchild and submit a picture or two to be included in this year s program booklet. Teen Bible Academy is a 3-week program that focuses on three key elements of Christian Life: solitude, study, and service. The dates are June 18-July 8 and the price of $350 covers food, lodging, travel, etc. This year we have a new program for repeaters called TBA-2 which may include a mission trip! For more information call Summer Camp at Wawona: June 24 th -Aug. 5 th includes week-long camps for different ages at a cost of $495. Enjoy cub & cowboy camp, backpacking, junior & tween camp, wilderness survival, summit horse pack, teen, and family camps. 8 BONE BUILDING JUICE RECIPE Ingredients: 4 cups of spinach; 1 avocado; 4 cucumbers; 4 cups of cabbage Directions: Start by juicing all the ingredients except the avocado. Transfer juice to a blender. Add the avocado and mix at the lowest setting. This drink should be consumed immediately. Enjoy! The Remnant and Its Mission The universal church is composed of all who truly believe in Christ, but in the last days, a time of widespread apostasy, a remnant has been called out to keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus. This remnant announces the arrival of the judgment hour, proclaims salvation through Christ, and heralds the approach of His second advent. This proclamation is symbolized by the three angels of Revelation 14; it coincides with the work of judgment in heaven and results in a work of repentance and reform on earth. Every believer is called to have a personal part in this worldwide witness. (Rev. 12:17; 14:6-12; 18:1-4; 2 Cor. 5:10; Jude 3, 14; 1 Peter 1:16-19; 2 Peter 3:10-14; Rev. 21:1-14.)
