I pray that your Holiday Day season was very special and filled with God s blessing for you, your family and love ones. During this time of the year, when the air is filled with music and the smell of holiday cooking, our thoughts turn to family good friends who add joy to our lives. Cookie and I was laughing and talking and reminiscing about the fun we had at our rallies and some camping trips in 2018, like the cookout we had at Lazy Days, eating Belgium waffles in New Jersey, listening to the 1 singing of Stan The Man Hampton in Williamsburg, or sitting around the biggest campfire you have ever seen at the oyster festival in Urbanna, or playing corn hole in Delaware, or watching everyone playing cards or playing the game left to right to center (LRC) in North Carolina, if you attended some of them or if you made it to all of them, I hope you had as much fun as we did. Now it s time to look forward to a great camping year in I want to thank everyone for making our give back a success again. In the past years, we did 12 baskets with a turkey but this year, we gave 16 baskets with a turkey, this happen because of your generosity. The principal, staff and kids at William R. Davie Middle School wanted me to say thank you, Us Club, from the bottom of their hearts. I want to thank the executive board for their help and a special thanks to Joan Avent and Ed Clark for their hard work as well as other Us Club members. Before I close, I want to thank everyone for your support of my tenure as your President for the last four years. Being your President has meant so much to me. We had

2 so sad times but I thank God that the good times have outweighed he bad times. See you down the road. Chaplain s Column By Elder Danny Mott Final Remarks as Chaplain of the Us Club Juanita and I would like to take this opportunity to convey our heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to the Us Club RV Family for the privilege, honor, and joy of serving as your Chaplain since As an ordained minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ at the St. Stephen Baptist Church located in Temple Hills, Maryland, I am eternally thankful for the privilege of leading this great family of people in spiritual development and growth, in serving as a disciple for Jesus Christ. It is time for me to step aside and allow God to use others to spiritually lead the Us Club. I will continue to serve where needed. As we embark on a New Year of 2019, I solicit and request your prayers, love and support for our new Chaplain, Elder Rodney Gause. I believe this gifted partnership of Elders Rodney and Shelley Gause will be a tremendous blessing for the Us Club Family. To God be the glory for all He is doing and continue to do in the lives of His people. I am excited for the new leadership and thank God for the past leadership; for the Us RV Club is model for love, caring and sharing. I leave you with my final Chaplain s Corner Newsletter Article: God Keeps His Promises: Life will deal you some unpredictable problems or blows, disappointments and betrayals, ups and downs, loss of a spouse or loved one, trials and struggles, hurts and sorrows. Things happen in your life that you have no control over. The Apostle Paul understood hardships, challenges, struggles, and despairs. Romans 8:28 (NKJV) says, And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. All things, not most things, not some things, not part things, work together for good. The devil meant it for evil, but God turned that thing around and may it good. God will allow your problems to keep you on your knees praying and trusting in him. With much love, Elder Danny R. Mott, Past Chaplain Us Club January 2019 Rally Coordinator By Ed Clark Greeting fellow Us Club members and a MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR to all. After ending the camping season with our annual Give Back, Get Together, we are now looking forward to the 2019 season and some new adventures. 2 First let s start by viewing our 2019 Us Club rally schedule.once again we will start the new season with our annual rally in Tampa, Fl. at Lazydays Rv resort in late February. Being able to get out of town in mid- winter is a thrill itself. Just to get out of the cold for a week in the warm Florida sunshine is great. Spending it at the best camp resorts on the east coast is worth it so, plan to join us in Tampa. This year we will return to Langford Johnson's Farm for the Blessing of the Coaches June 7 th till 9 th. Come join us in southern Maryland, and remember it s dry camping so plan to arrive with dry waste tanks. In July, for all of us who have their passports in order, we will be headed to our first north of the border rally, The Niagara Falls Rally. The rally is set up as an eight-day rally, Sunday, July 28 th through Sunday, August 4th, Since we won t have a sewage hookup, the campground will provide one free onsite dump per RV. If you need an additional dump, the cost will be $5.00. So we ask that you dump your tanks upon arrival. Our objective is to get the group to both the American and the Canadian Falls, and provide enough time during the week to visit and enjoy the many other attractions in both Buffalo, New York and Niagara Falls, Canada areas. The Rambling Pine Rally in Woodbine, Maryland is now scheduled for Sept. 20-thru 22. More information will be provided when available. You can see when we round out the 2019 rally season with our Annual Fall rally in October in Delaware, followed by our Get Together in December in Roanoke Rapids, NC, it should be a great Us Club year.

3 Rally Reports Houston, Delaware G&R Campground October 19-21, 2018 By Joyce Palmer The Us Club s 2018 Fall Homecoming Rally was held from October 19 th to October 21 st, 2018, at the G&R Campground in Houston, Delaware. Serving as hosts for the Rally were George and Elsie Janifer, Ed and Yvette Clark, Luther Ellis, Larry and Betty Thomas, Joan Avent, Bob and Joyce Palmer and Maxine Christmas. Twenty-five coaches were present at the Rally, with attendees also renting four cabins for guests. A total of 67 club members and guests were in attendance. The Rally kicked off on the evening of Friday, October 19 th with a Meet and Greet, where light refreshments were served. Afterwards, Ed Clark, our Rally Coordinator, gave an update on the preparations for our Niagara Falls Rally. We then enjoyed a Club Fun Night, with Bingo, other games and a movie (with popcorn). The movie was a thrilling nailbiter - Skyscraper, starring The Rock. On Saturday morning G&R provided a wonderful full breakfast. Afterwards was a meeting at which Club officers were elected. The officers are as follows: President, Langford Johnson; Vice-President and Newsletter Editor, Joan Avent; Secretary, Sandra Curry; Treasurer, Ethel Sterling; Business Manager, Ben McLaren; Hospitality Coordinator, Pat Caldwell; Chaplain, Rodney Gause; Web Designer, Joe Broussard; Rally Coordinator, Ed Clark; and Communications Coordinator, Shelly Gause. Bill And Maxine Lewis were presented with Certificate for Lifetime Members. On Saturday afternoon, George Janifer hosted our first Annual Us Club Corn Hole Bean Bag Pitching Contest. First place was taken by Ed Johnson and Rufus Steed. Second place was taken by Ward and Mary Broaddus. What a fun game! That evening, we enjoyed a delicious dinner, after which awards were presented to various Club members for their service and to the Bingo and Bean Bag Pitching contest winners. Outgoing Club President James Broaddus presented plaques to Emmitt Dickerson, outgoing Club Chaplain Elder Mott, Sunshine Lady Ms. Caldwell, Ed Clark, Ben McLauren, Joan Avent and to Cookie Broaddus for their dedication and commitment to the 3 Us Club. James Broaddus was given a clock by his leadership team in recognition of his service as President, and all of the past Club Presidents in attendance were given badges for their lanyards saying Past President. Badges were also presented to the host committee for this rally. We also held the drawing. Afterwards, we enjoyed the dance music provided by DJ Roc. On Sunday morning, we had a continental breakfast, and William and Maxine Christmas were recognized as having achieved the status of Lifetime Membership. A prayer for travelling mercies for all of the attendees brought another highly enjoyable Rally to its conclusion. Meeting Notes Oct. 20, 2018 Submitted by Ellen Yalley The Us Club meeting started at 10:17 a.m. with an opening prayer by Club Chaplin, Elder Danny Mott. Elder Mott prayed for comfort and healing for members Emmitt and Dorothy Dickerson. President James Broaddus thanked the club for their support of his presidency for the last 4 years. Treasury Report Ethel Sterling The current report was read by Ethel Sterling. Our representative for NAARVA was reimbursed for donation given to NAARVA on

4 behalf of the club. A motion was passed to accept the report. Sunshine Report was given by Pat Caldwell. The nominating committee presented the slate of officers for President Langford Johnson, Vice President Joan Avent, Secretary Sandra Curry, Treasurer Ethel Sterling, Business Manager Ben Mclarin. The following club members accepted the following positions: Hospitality Pat Caldwell, Newsletter Joan Avent, Rally Coordinator Ed Clark, Website Designer Joe Buschere, Communications Coordinator Shelly Gause, Sergeant at Arms William Bland, Safety Coordinator Lawrence Turner, Chaplain - Rodney Gause. Election was held for our new officers for President Langford Johnson, Vice President Joan Avent, Secretary Sandra Curry, Treasurer Ethel Sterling, Business Manager Ben McLaurin. New officers term is effective January, Our Christmas Get Together will be held Nov. 30-Dec 2, 2018 at The Carolina Crossroads RV Park in Roanoke Rapids, N.C. Nonperishables or monetary donations are being accepted today. For the Christmas Get together, bring a gift valued at $10.00 or more if you want to participate in the club gift giving. The closing prayer was given by Rev. Mott. Christmas GiveBack William R. Davies Middle School Roanoke Rapids, N.C. Nov. 29 Dec. 2, 2018 By James Broaddus & Joan Avent Our Club Christmas Give Back was held November 29 th to Dec. 2 nd. Once again we traveled to Congratulations the RV Resort at Roanoke Rapids, NC. We partnered with William R. Davies Middle School for the third year. 35 members were in attendance for the Giveback. With the club s generous donations we were able to deliver 16 baskets of non-perishable food items and each basket included a turkey. At our Homecoming Rally at G&R campground in October we collected a large amount of goods for the baskets. Our members donated a total of $ cash to complete the food drive. The baskets were over flowing and we have $ remaining to add toward our Give Back in What a wonderful fellowship. Everyone chipped to help fill the baskets and deliver them to William R. Davies School to make this project a success.
