Please respond within five days of receipt if any changes are required. If any action is required, the name indicates the responsible party and the date indicates the due date. Meeting called to order at 7:03 p.m. Pastor Liefer opened with a prayer. Minutes from the 9/30/13 BOD meeting were approved by . Pastor Auringer gave his update on the church. See attached. Pastor is concerned we are getting lax on board members attending meetings and that we all need to be faithful to our commitment. Allison Dolak gave her update on the school. See attached. A survey was sent to all school families and 145 families responded to the survey. She would like the church to be involved in the Operation Food Search and food would need to be collected by November 24 th. Anna Brandt gave her financial update. See attached. A motion was made to approve the treasurers report by Dan Ebert and Scott Hays seconded. All approved. Anna is very concerned about the mortgage deficit and would like the congregation to be reminded about the need to give.

2 Rod Kumm is going to haul the used computer equipment to Goodwill to recycle. He is looking into areas that can be made into storage because of the lack of storage in the building. Kelly Colbert reported on the Business Manager position by . The committee is in the process of collecting resumes and conducting information gathering interviews. The MLT will be deciding who will attend the active shooter training on the church side. The Firearms Policy was tabled until the next meeting. Approved policies will go into effect immediately but will be ratified at the next voters meeting.

3 October 2013 BOD Report Senior Pastor Pastoral Ministry Worship: Thanksgiving Eve Service: Wednesday, November 27, 7:00 PM Advent Worship/Programs: Wednesdays, December 4, 11, & 7:00 PM Sunday, December 22: One 9:30 Lessons & Carols Christmas Eve Worship: 3:00, 5:00, & 7:00 PM Christmas Morning: 9:00 AM (Note the change) Teaching: The Rest of The Story on Sunday mornings (Attendance been trailing off ) The study of 1 Corinthians continues on Thursdays Adult Instruction continues on 7 PM: 12 are in attendance Visitation: Continue with monthly shut-in calls; I have 12 regular stops with a handful of temporary rehab visits; Hospital visits as needed PLI (Pastoral Leadership Institute): I have decided to enroll in this 2 year program which will begin in March; I will secure the funding on my own for this year, but hope to add a portion of the cost to the budget next year. Missions: I have decided to make a trip to Uganda with Hearts & Hope for Uganda; 2 other new members will be going as well (Tom & Carrie Andrews); The trip is from February 1-12; After some discussion with Todd, I d like to use some conference funds (I haven t attended any for over a year) as well as some mission funds. The goal for this trip is in part fact finding as well as to provide encouragement for our members to participate in person as well as financially. More information to come! Funerals: 4 funerals; 2 members (Evelyn Riley & Shirley Martin), 1 Parklane resident, 1 community resident Baptisms: Martin-Lopez family (Shirley Martin s granddaughter) Weddings: 2 (Norton/Smith & Gersman/Forguson) I baptized Allyssa Norton, Robert Smith, and Nick Forguson this past spring They also went through adult instruction Administrative Business Manager Interviews will begin the first week of November Facilities Fence to be added around septic system; Snow/Ice Guards need to be added to roof Gym is being rented every week night and most Saturday mornings through February I have complied a waiting list

4 Principals Report-BOD Bod report- We are at 244 students K-8 Trunk or Treat is THIS Friday ILS Lutheran School Sunday is this Sunday. I am planning on having students talk. Jr High Concert Choir will be singing. Parent Teacher Conferences were held last week. Abby (Gersman) Forguson was married on Saturday. Trivia Night Auction will be March 1 st, 2014 Next Accreditation Meeting is this Saturday at 8:30 Operation Food Search-Next month in Chapel Members of the Concert Choir will be performing at Advent by Candelight.
