4 Religious Education is Recruiting! Are you interested in spreading God s word to our parish children? Religious Education is looking for a 1st grade Catechist Teacher. Our program offers extraordinary curricula, tremendous support in working together as a team, and a budget for each class. Classes meet once a week on Thursday and you will be the bridge between home and church formation. Interested in becoming a volunteer and answering God s calling? To join our team, call Shauna Scott in the parish office to become involved in this important ministry. All Saints Day celebration! Our St. Joseph Music Ministry provides beauty, joy, comfort, and inspiration for our liturgies and festive parish celebrations. Through the musical gifts, generosity and commitment of our Music Ministry members, we prepare music for all masses including Christmas, Easter and appropriate seasonal events in our community. Often we think I am not a teacher. However, that does not mean I am not qualified. To gain a full sense for what a teacher does for young people today, a teacher s full duty is not just to impart knowledge. It is to make a real, lasting impact on the lives of young people we serve. Matthew 9:35 says Jesus went around to all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom, and curing every disease and illness. If we take this apart, a teacher heals, proclaims, and teaches. Your loving smile can heal, your voice can proclaim, and your way can teach. If you are interested in helping in any of these loving ways, call the office to speak to Shauna or Kathy to find out what roles are available to help our religious education programs. 5 Mary by the Saints When we feel our cross weighing upon us, let us have recourse to Mary, whom the Church calls the Consoler of the Afflicted. St. Alphonsus Maria de Liguori Rosary Rally and 50th Anniversary Jubilee Cross Last weekend we were Blessed to host two beautiful events. On Saturday October 13th we held an America Needs Fatima rally in our parking lot near the Adoration Room. Over 50 people attended and pictures are on the bottom of the following page. It is estimated that over 1 Million Catholics across the United States have participated in this event. On Saturday and Sunday we hosted the Diocese Jubilee cross. Saturday we received the Cross in a procession from Resurrection Church. Picture of the Cross, procession and the first Mass are on the top of the next page. At each mass last weekend we received and honored the Cross to celebrate our Jubiliee.
