8 Middle School Minyan This fun and engaging minyan was created to encourage the children s active involvement in the Shabbos morning davening by offering them the opportunity to participate and lead. The goal is to have all participants acquire fluency and confidence in the various aspects of davening in Shul. Participants will enjoy a parsha Q & A plus a wonderful hot kiddush. 10 10 MONDAY ARTS O FUN 8 week session Mondays, October 19, 2015 December 7, 2015 Time: 5:00pm 5:45pm Nursery & JK / SK 6:15pm 7:15pm Grades 1 3 Location: West Wing classroom # 1 Cost: $55 members, $65 non members Give your child the creative, relaxed, fun outlet that will surely be enjoyed. Watch them produce priceless pieces which you will treasure forever. Each week their self confidence will grow as they bring home unique arts and crafts projects taught by a certified art instructor. Guaranteed they will beg to attend the winter session with their new best friends. BDL BAYTEEN DINE N LEARN Continuous Teen BOYS Mondays Starting October 19th, 2015 Mid May 2016 Time: 7:00pm 8:30pm Grade: All Teen Boys Location: Jarvis Freedman Library Cost: $118 / year donation to BAYT Youth (Full tax receipt issued) Enjoy a different dinner each week. Listen to a 20 minute shiur given by various members of the BAYT, then learn with a chavrusa for 30 minutes. Weekly sponsorships available. TUESDAY BAT MITZVAH PROGRAM Tuesdays, mid October until mid May Time: 7:00pm Location: Moshe and Mania Gruda Bais Medrash Weekly Aspects of the program include learning Megillat Rut with Rabbi Korobkin, developing a Dvar Torah, a leadership workshop, chesed activities, a holocaust awareness program, an art activity, learning public speaking skills, and simcha dancing. The program culminates in a beautiful celebration where each Bat Mitzvah gets the opportunity to present her Dvar Torah.

11 Programs BAR MITZVAH PROGRAM Various Tuesdays, beginning Mid October Time: 7:30pm Location: West Wing classroom # 1 Mazel Tov! The Bar Mitzvah year is an exciting one for your son and the entire family. It is a year of spiritual and physical growth. This new program will be offered to all boys entering grade 7, born in The Bar Mitzvah program will consist of Shabbat experiences in our Middle School Minyan, public speaking sessions, learning hilchos tefillin with Rabbi Korobkin, and various chessed opportunities. There will also be a special Father and Son social event. The program will culminate with a special celebration for families, where the boys will be able to highlight their skills. The program will take place on Tuesday evenings and select Shabbatot. Schedule to follow shortly. There will be an info session on Tuesday, September 8th at 7:30pm at the BAYT. 11

It can be a blast. Do you like to learn by doing? This is just the place. You can learn to tie knots, set up a tent, shoot a bow and arrow (archery). Have you ever cooked a meal on a campfire? Sent a secret code to a buddy? Played Ultimate? Hiked? Earn rewards for doing these things in Cub Scouts. Experience a FUN, interactive rhythmical journey with your child Using drums, shakers, our bodies and percussion instruments, we will sing, play, move and create a rhythm circle together GROUPS ARE GEARED FOR AGES 6 months -3yrs LIVING RHYTHM 10 week session Wednesdays, October 7th December 9th TIME: 2:00pm - 2:30pm Age: 6 months 3 years LOCATION: The BAYT, 3rd Floor, classroom # 1 COST: $ members $150 non members FLOOR HOCKEY weekly Wednesdays, October 21st 2015 Mid May 2015 Location: Eitz Chaim Gym (Yorkhill) Age: Grades 1-4 will play at: Time: 6:00pm - 6:45pm OR 6:45pm- 7:30pm Age: Grades 5-8 will play at: Time: 7:30pm - 8:15pm OR 8:15pm - 9:00pm Cost: $118 members $145 non members Includes Team jersey, water bottle, trophy and banquet! Schedule will be sent out mid October. Playoffs begin Wednesday following Pesach until mid May. Banquet and trophy presentations following playoffs. Registration NOW OPEN! 16 ZUMBATOMIC 8 week session Wednesdays, October 21th 2015 December 9, Time: 6:00pm 6:45pm Age: Grades 4-6 Girls Only Location: BAYT 3rd floor classrooms 2 and 3 Cost: $78 members, $90 non members Zumba with Debbie! Classes are a fun high-energy dance/fitness party packed with kid-friendly routines and all the music kids love to groove to with their friends like hip hop, reggaeton, top 40 and more! Parents love Zumbatomic because of the benefits it has on kids; increasing their focus and self-confidence, boosting metabolism and enhancing coordination. BAYTEEN BOOTCAMP Fitness for GIRLS Wednesdays, October 21, 2015 December 9, 2015 Time: 6:45pm 7:30pm Age: All Teen Girls Location: BAYT 3rd floor classrooms 2 and 3 Cost: $78 members, $90 non members Come and join in TEEN BOOTCAMP at the BAYT! Come join a team environment where both trainer and fellow boot campers will motivate and challenge you to reach your highest potential. Get fit, get healthy, challenge your mind, challenge your body and most importantly make fitness FUN! Bootcamp is a combination of strength, cardio, muscle endurance, Flexibility, core and functional movement patterns! FITNESS BOOTCAMP

ROLLING RUGRATS 10 week session Thursdays, October 15, 2015 December 17, 2015 Age: 3 6 years BOYS & GIRLS Time: 5:30pm 6:15pm Location: BAYT 3rd floor classrooms 2 & 3 Cost: $75 members, $100 non members KINDER KICKS 10 week session Thursdays, October 15, 2015 December 17, 2015 Age: 7 11 years BOYS & GIRLS Time: 6:15pm 7:00pm Location: BAYT 3rd floor classrooms 2 & 3 Cost: $75 members, $100 non members Children will learn the basics of self defense and martial arts and will be educated about bullying while in a fun, healthy and safe environment. This martial arts program includes the 8 vital skills to healthy and successful development: focus, cooperation, control, balance, memory, discipline, fitness and coordination. These vital skills allow kids to maintain a healthy physical lifestyle. This program also puts emphasis on fun training exercises. Kids learn more when they re having fun. 15

18 16 BOYS MUAY THAI KICKBOXING MMA Mixed Martial Arts / Jui-Jitsu - 10 Week Session Thursdays, October 15, 2015 December 17, 2015 Age: years BOYS Only Time: 7:00pm 8:00pm Location: BAYT 3rd Floor classrooms 2 & 3 Cost: $100 members, $125 non members In Muay Thai, hand, shin, knee and elbow strikes are used to create a highly effective self-defense system and at the same time delivers an intense cardiovascular and full body workout. The class is designed for those who want to get and / or stay _t while learning an extremely practical form of self- defense. Jui-Jitsu is a martial art and a self-defense system that focuses on grappling and primarily ground fighting. It is a martial art that everyone can learn no matter your size or strength. With endless positions and counter maneuvers, it is both physically and mentally challenging. It will increase your focus, provides stress relief and promotes mental fortitude. GIRLS FITNESS KICKBOXING & SELF-DEFENSE 10 Week Session Thursdays, October 15, 2015 December 17, 2015 Age: years GIRLS Only Time: 8:15pm 9:15pm Location: BAYT 3rd Floor classrooms 2 & 3 Cost: $100 members, $125 non members Kickboxing is a physically demanding form of martial arts, focusing on striking with nearly every part of your body. With explosive energy required for every strike Muay Thai kickboxing quickly puts even the most relaxed body into peak physical condition. A single 1 hour workout burns over 600 calories. There is no workout like a Muay Thai kickboxing session. This class will also concentrate on the basics of self-defense needed in today s society.

19 SUNDAY BAYTEEN BOYS - JEWISH PHILOSOPHY SHIUR continuous Sundays, 12:00 Noon 1:00pm Age: High School Boys Location: West Wing Library No Cost: Tax receiptable donations gladly accepted A Shiur in Jewish Philosophy based on the writings of the Chazon Ish in his sefer vbunt iujycu Program is for teens and young adults going to or coming back from Israel. There is a light lunch after the Shiur. Sponsored by BAYT Youth and Magid Shiur Rabbi Mayer Zoberman TTEC GIRL GUIDES Continuous bi-weekly Sundays, Mid October until mid May Location: 3rd floor classrooms 2 & 3 Girl Guides of Canada, the organization of choice for young girls, makes a positive difference in the life of every girl who experiences Guiding, so she can contribute responsibly to her community. The BAYT 613 girl guide chapter is the only shomer Shabbos chapter in Canada. BAYT YOUTH ICE HOCKEY Continuous Sundays, October 25th 2015 March 13, 2016 Time: 8:15pm 9:15pm Age: Grades 1-4 and Grades 5-9 Location: Garnet A. Williams C.C. Cost: $275 members $325 non members Enjoy an evening of great hockey. Start off with some hockey drills and then compete in three 15 minute periods. The teams will consist of players from both grade levels. Younger against younger and older against older on 2 minute shifts. Registration includes reversible team jersey, water bottle, monthly raffles, excellent on ice instruction and supervision, trophy and year end banquet. 17

SUNDAY FUNDAY Monthly Various grades each month will enjoy an exciting Sunday event including: Lazer tag, Petting Zoo, Movies, Lego Land and so much more. Watch BYTV and your weekly bulletin for more details. 18 EREV YOM TOV BABYSITTING / PLAY GROUPS Let us look after your kids while you prepare for YomTov. Erev Rosh Hashana Sunday September 13th from 10am 1pm Erev Succos Sunday September 27th from 10am 1pm Ages: 3 (Toliet trained) 9 Program will be divided according to age. Program includes: Circle Time, Crafts, Games and lunch. This program will be coordinated by experienced educators. BAYT Teens will assist in the program as well. Cost: $18 / child or $50 maximum / family. Sign up at and click on Erev Yom Tov babysitting.

21 SPECIAL EVENTS SUKKAH HOP Tuesday, September 29th, :30pm - 5:30pm This annual event is open to all kids of all ages! There will be singing, quizzes and lots of food! Different theme at each house. Meet in the Shul sukkah promptly at 3:30pm. CHOL HAMOED SUKKOT PROGRAMS HOCKEY & PIZZA - Kids and Teens Thursday October 1st, 2015, 4:45pm - 7:00pm Boys: Grades 1-4, Grades 5-8, Grades 9-12 There will be a separate area for those girls wanting to play. Location Shul parking Lot Enjoy a road hockey game in your grade category and then relax with a pizza dinner in the Sukkah. Please RSVP to rich@bayt.ca $5.00/player CONSTANTIA Friday October 2nd, :30am Join Rabbi & Rebbitzen Korobkin and BATY YOUTH at Constantia Seniors residence. Share in the mitvah of lulav and etrog with the residents and show off your talent at singing, playing an instrumennt, telling a story, or even a joke or 2. You don't have to be part of the talent show to be part of this very special morning. All kids and families invited to attend. Meet in the Constantia (Centre Street) parking lot at 10:15am. SUKKOT GRAND CARNIVAL Sunday October 4th, :00am - 2:00pm Fun for the Whole Family with with rides, carnival games, petting zoo, shows, clowns, music, food and sooo much more! 19
