1 Congregation Ohev Shalom Youth and Family Update 12/21/2017 Amy Geboff - Director of Youth, Family & Education This last week was another wonderfully busy week! Friday was the COSUSY Kabbalat and Kibbitz at the Slavkins, Saturday was Shabbat Morning experience, Sunday was 4th grade Munch and Minyan, Oys and Joys and our final auditions for the play! We look forward to starting rehearsals with our 26 cast members on January 7. This Sunday a group of our USYers head to Chicago for the USY International Convention. We know they will have an incredible time and we look forward to the energy they bring back. We are officially on Winter Break. I think we all are looking forward to a change in our regular routines. I also hope it will give you and your family a chance to regroup, reflect and reevaluate. When we begin the second half of the year there are so many things to look forward to and participate in to make a new connection or firm up your existing connection to the Ohev family. Here is what you can expect in Registration for MACHANEH OHEV 2018 will begin for COS members in January in February for non COS members 2. 8th graders can start coming to COSUSY chapter events and we hope that everyone will come to Dodge Ball and Havdallah on January 6th 3. Once a month, interactive learning at COS and the other date in the month will be hands-on activites to practice what we learn. Pirkei Avot is one of the best known and most cited Jewish texts.
