2 Shalom Friends We all know that feeling of life speeding by. Kids grow quickly and the years add up faster than we can quite comprehend. Judaism is meant to help us appreciate time. It s built to slow us down, make us look around, and appreciate holy moments with the people we care about most. Neshamah s mission is to give you the opportunity to share inspiring, purposeful time with your loved ones. Judaism has many avenues for engagement. Some Jewish holy moments happen in synagogue on specific days - like Shabbat and holidays. Other Jewish holy moments happen out in the community on regular days - like our mitzvah projects and our weekly classes. Judaism is also meant to nudge us out of our own bubbles. Elul 5778 / August 2018 Because life is hectic, it s easy to get caught up in our own schedules and stresses. But nothing feels better than getting beyond the daily basics and really making a difference for ourselves and others. Please peruse our calendar and find new ways to create your own holy moments with your family. Neshamah s door is always open! I believe that growing our Jewish souls is always worth the effort! Thank you for being part of our unique congregation - together we are making Judaism relevant and meaningful for today s families. B shalom, Rabbi Amy Rader Our Mission The Neshamah Institute is a soulful, independent synagogue without walls in South Palm Beach County. Our mission is to bring the personal connection and spirituality of authentic Judaism back to our community. Neshamah specializes in personalized Jewish education, uplifting Jewish celebrations, and meaningful, hands-on mitzvah work. Membership dues are not required as our programs are sustained solely by donations and fees for services. The Neshamah Institute is devoted to helping all Jews grow their neshamah, Jewish soul. 2
