Samaritans365 Foundation Summer 2017 Newsletter We have ended another school year of educating, inspiring and spreading kindness. Now, we would like to share your accomplishments as we continue to spread the kindness all summer long. There are so many kindnessminded people around, and as the summer approaches, we are filled with gratitude for our growing community. Together, we are spreading kindness one person, one family, one school, one neighborhood, one county, one state, one country at a time Over this past 2016/2017 school year, we had 45 amazing kindness programs up and running throughout Florida and New York. These 45 clubs consisted of over 90 trained S365 Ambassadors presenting their Kindness Curriculum to an average of 50 kids per club. Some of our Ambassadors presented their clubs as an after-school program, as part of the mandatory curriculum (our ultimate goal) and some Ambassadors presented the kindness at an enrichment program.
We also trained over 30 Ambassadors at a local High School for their week-long immersion program for visiting 5 local foundations to serve. Our online kindness training is up and running, at so anyone in the world can become a S365 certified Kindness Ambassador and spread the kindness throughout their community. We have trained 18 ambassadors online with 17 more currently going through the training process. We have trained over 350 kindness Ambassadors in total. There are 23 new Kindness Clubs starting next school year which will have us in 7 states including Florida, New York, North Carolina, Delaware, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Maine. Thank you to the many volunteers, sponsors, supporters and friends who contribute to the success of the Foundation and are the reason the Kindness Movement is spreading so fast. Our Super Samaritans visited over 9 different locations just this past school year. Throughout the year these amazing ladies go from one Foundation or Organization to another and serve. Shari Dragos, our Super Samaritans Ambassador, coordinates and organizes projects for the ladies to participate in giving back to each organization they are visiting that Month.
The Kindness Givers have expanded with three more groups the Healing Hearts, Hearts of Gold Kindness Givers and Kindness Kids. The Kindness givers are different groups that go to underprivileged schools and foster care facilities and bring their own kind of kindness whatever the need. Thank you to our Executive Board: for your time, dedication and commitment. Each month we meet, I am inspired by the many discussions of how to create, develop and improve upon this amazingly worthwhile endeavor as we share the common goal of creating a positive impact on the world. From left to right: Cindy Chieffo, Sandy Gerstein, Lori Fineman, Melissa H. Orlen, Andrew Reiss & Laura Reiss.
We are excited and proud to introduce Karin Gellen our Executive Assistant and Shari Kline our Ambassador Support and Community Outreach employees to the world. These ladies are just what we need to support the expansion and growth of our Kindness Movement. Our annual 2016 Kindness Movement Celebration Event on September 17th was a tremendous success. Thank you to all who donated, supported, created and attended our kindness celebration.

Thank you to Principal Castellano for embracing and supporting this kindness conversation into your school and making it a part of the fiber of Banyan Creek's teaching. Thank you Mark Wasserman from Houses for Change for inspiring our community in how they can give back and support homeless families. The Banyan Creek Samaritans raised $500 for homeless families in our community. On April 8 th, our annual Florence Fuller Family Fun Day of giving was a huge success with thousands of items donated, money raised and fun activities for all. It was a great day of Clowns, DJ Jean, Dancing, Laughing, Making New Friends, Face painting, Slime making, cookie decorating fun for everyone! Thank you to all who organized, showed up, donated and helped.
This spring, we collected over 300 prom and homecoming dresses that were distributed to teens in need at Speak Up for Kids, Best Foot Forward and S.O.S. Children s Village. Thank you to all who donated and The Yoga Joint and Evolution Yoga for letting us drop off and collect in your space.
Join us on Saturday, June 17th, 3:00-6:00 for our Fresh Kitchen Kindness Birthday Yoga Flow as our community comes together for an opportunity to give back, show kindness, yoga flow and celebrate. $30 ticket (all ticket sales are donated to The Samaritan365 Foundation's Kindness Movement) Tickets available at:

110 Special Categories / Grants and Aide - School and instructional enhancements / Kindness Matters FL! $142,500 When the Governor must veto $409 million worth of projects Okay, so we did not receive the state grant we were hoping for, but I ll tell you what we did receive that, in my humble opinion, is more important than anything: we received your partnership, unity and the coming together of a community standing for and supporting each other. We received your love and kindness. We received the acknowledgement that what we are doing as a Foundation is worth the time, commitment, passion, dedication and that what we are doing is making a powerful, profound and positive impact. And isn t that what life is all about? Isn t that what we all ultimately want for ourselves and each other? Yes, of course we are disappointed, but we are also grateful for each of you that picked up the phone, shared our s and posts, wrote a letter or sent an in support of the Kindness Movement spreading. In good time, the money will come for the continued successful growth and expansion of our Kindness Movement and it s because of people like you who make up this community, that the world will know about us and be a part of spreading kindness globally. Thank you to Senator Kevin Rader for your support and putting us on the State Senate map. Together, we are spreading kindness one person, one family, one school, one neighborhood, one county, one state, one country at a time. With Gratitude, Laura Laura Reiss and Kindness Family
