THE FALL GATHERING OF PRESBYTERIAN WOMEN OF NATIONAL CAPITAL PRESBYTERY will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Darnestown Presbyterian Church, Turkey Foot Road, Darnestown, Maryland. The theme is "Connections" and the keynote speaker is Mary Pat Brennan, "UN Commission on Women." LITERARY CLUB -- Please join us after worship service on October 4th in the library for a discussion of the poetry of South Carolinian Nikky Finney in "Head Off and Split." She won the 2011 National Book Award for Poetry and it will be fun to read and share our favorite poems. Dr. Shirley Logan has a few copies, so you may not need to make a library trip. INTERPRETATION AND STEWARDSHIP COMMITTEE (GGC): Thanks to all members who attended PART 1, of our Stewardship Program on Last Sunday, "Living Generously." Attendants were giving a chance to hear and see how important it is to be a generous person with their time. Please Note: Today Sunday Sept. 20th, will be the final program, PART 3, "Loving Generously" - Main topics: "Mission Giving" and "Living a Legacy," with Pot Luck Dinner. Members are asked to please make a contribution by filling out the request form found in your bulletin and bring a dish on next Sunday. CALLING ON NORTHEASTERN MEN - The Northeastern Presbyterian Church s 40 th Anniversary Homecoming Celebration will take place September 26 th and 27 th. The traditional Saturday church picnic will be followed by a sit down dinner after Sunday service led by the Reverend Dr. Lloyd Green. Men in the congregation are being called upon to help make the 40 th Anniversary Celebration Homecoming occasion one of the best ever. So men, expect to be contacted and looking forward to serve!
