2 Message from the President To this Great Convention Greetings Another year has come and gone and God has continued to be good to us. For those of you whom have gather here today, welcome to the 48 th Annual Session of the New Jersey Baptist Deacon s Convention, Inc. and Its Auxiliaries. I would like to thank my local The Baptist Deacon Alliance of Central Jersey, Inc. and Its Auxiliaries for hosting this session. I give thanks to my pastor the Bishop M. LaVerne Ball and for opening their doors to this convention. I honor the Lord for each and every one of you for the work that you have commented your hands to do. For we are a living organism fitted together perfectly by Christ Jesus, that each part does its own special work. When we each do our own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole organism is healthy and growing and full of love. Yes, it is love that going to keep us together, love for Christ, love for the work we do and love for each other. Let us go forth and meet the challenge of change in the 21 st century church by being prepared messengers that we are able to change our method, but not the message. By putting on the whole armor of God to keep and protect us. We can not worry about what will happen to us for carrying the truth, but what will happen to others if we don t carry the truth. May the Spirit of Truth direct and Guide us in all His way. Grace and Peace Deacon Freddie L. Hunt Deacon Freddie L. Hunt President, Parent Body
