2 To volunteer for a ministry in this booklet, please complete the 2015 THRIVE Promises To Keep Card, or contact the staff person listed. As you consider some of the ways you can fulfill your vows to uphold the Church with your prayers, presence, gi s, service and witness, we hope that this booklet will help you decide where you can glorify God by serving the ministries of the Church. For each ministry offered in your Promises to Keep brochure, there is a brief descrip on listed within this booklet. We invite you to call the ministry contact if you need addi onal informa on before making your decision. You may access more detailed ministry descrip ons on the MAGI website (magiweb.org). If you would like to learn even more about how God has equipped you to serve, you can take a MAGI (Members Applying Gi s inten onally) workshop. Within the workshop me, you will iden fy your spiritual gi s, individual approach and your real zeal through assessments and class interac on. If you feel God s rring you to try something new, please keep in mind that training, instruc on and guidance are offered for all ministry areas. A endance Steward: Maintain weekly a endance records and provide follow up with Weekend Adult Classes. Couples in Christ Marriage Ministry Special Events Coordinator: Help plan and implement bi annual date night events and organize volunteers. Curriculum Library Team: Assist with maintaining Adult Discipleship Curriculum Library resources, includes entering informa on in curriculum database and re shelving returned items. Hospitality Team for One Day MAGI Workshop: (scheduled on a Saturday from 9:30 am 3:30 pm) Set up/clean up snacks and lunch, pick up preordered lunch, collect money for snacks/lunch, eat with group. Provide extravagant hospitality to workshop par cipants. 2 3 one day workshops will be scheduled during the year. *MAGI Curriculum Revision Team: Be part of a team to update the current MAGI curriculum. Would like to use more mul media, and other innova ve ways to present the material. Must be a MAGI workshop graduate. MAGI Follow up Caller: Contact MAGI workshop graduates 2 3 weeks a er they complete the workshop to make sure they have been contacted by ministry areas where they desire to serve. Children s Leadership Team: Serve on a team that dreams, plans and helps implement programs for children. Created by God: Be a part of a team helping children understand the gi of human sexuality. Opportuni es are provided quarterly for the children to reach out to others through service projects and collec ons. Madeline Kamp, Puppetry: Serve on a team which will work together to perform puppet shows for the Children s Celebra on Worship mes. Supplies: Take turns restocking supplies in Sunday School boxes and cabinets (once a week or on a rota ng basis). Sunday AM Elementary Assistant: Work with Children s Ministries staff on Sunday mornings coordina ng leaders and assis ng parents. Sunday AM Recep onist: Greet and direct visitors on Sunday mornings from Noah s Ark Welcome Desk. Gwynn Aycock, Sunday Sacks: Replenish materials in Sunday Sacks for children. Sunday School Kiosk Sign In: Welcome and assist parents as they sign in children for Sunday School. 5

Public Rela ons: Do you have contacts with local media and organiza ons in our area? Help us establish and grow our communica ons network in the community. Social Media: Are you the first to like your friend s status or do you spend most of your me retwee ing? Become a Trusted Advocate and assist us in planning, pos ng, and developing our social media presence. Website: Do you prefer to read and research on line? Be an integral part of our valuable portal to the world by being a part of the team responsible for refining and taking this resource to the next level for visitors, the congrega on and unchurched. Chain of Compassion Coordinator: For one month, coordinate volunteers to be of service to a family who has experienced the loss of a loved one. Jeanne e Coggins, Chain of Compassion Team Member: Help a family who has experienced the loss of a loved one with prac cal tasks such as answering phones, providing childcare or transporta on, running errands or helping around the house...or help with recep ons following funeral services. Jeanne e Coggins, Coffee House Helper: Assist with setup and cleanup of Coffee House. Sundays, 7:15 9:45 or 10:30 12:30 Decorate for Special Events: Coordinate with special event team, purchase and decorate for event. Deliver Meals: Take prepared meals to families in need on 1st and 3rd Wednesday or 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month. Kitchen Cleanup: Periodically join a group in cleaning the kitchen from top to bo om. Meal Prepara on, Setup, Serve, or Cleanup: Assist with meals for Church events.
