Robert McCallum This seminar examines the lekers of the Apostle Paul and his importance in helping to organize and communicate the major themes of Chris-an doctrine. Students will understand more of his message, methods, theme, and the context of his wri-ngs. Seminar - The Pentateuch and Its Relevance to New Testament Chris,ans Instructor Rev. Darryl Magee This seminar considers the first five books of the Old Testament and their significance to the New Testament Chris-an. As God reveals Himself and His values through His law, how does the Chris-an relate to it as recipients of God s grace? Students will discover more about the Torah and what it brings to the prac-ce and principles of the Chris-an faith. Seminar - Apocalyp,c Literature and Prophe,c Preaching Instructor Dr. John Patrick The apocalyp-c scriptures are rich with God s promises regarding the future of the church, yet many Chris-ans are lost regarding these biblical books and their significance to a full faith. This intensive breaks down the mys-fica-on of Revela-on and other apocalyp-c passages and provides tools to correctly interpret and teach/preach from this book.

3 Seminar Biblical Founda,ons for Black Bap,st Churches Instructor Rev. C. J. Rhodes This seminar, taught from the perspec-ve of the black church tradi-on, will take seriously the doctrinal dis-nc-ves that have historically dis-nguished Bap-st churches from other Chris-an congrega-ons, while also engaging contemporary, biblically based Evangelical cri-ques of some elements of tradi-onal Bap-st polity. Highlights include the necessity of regenerated membership in congrega-onal decision making; the rela-onship between pastoral leadership and deacons; the debate around Bap-st bishops and spiritual giws; and evangelism and the church's social mission. Seminar Biblical Principles of Servant Leadership Instructor Rev. Eric Dickey This seminar will strengthen those who have been called to serve in any capacity of leadership within the church by exploring biblical principles of servant leadership. Students will learn how to enlist and encourage ministry volunteers to accomplish the vision and mission of the ministries within the church. The student will be challenged to grow as a leader by adop-ng the servant leadership model of Jesus. Seminar The Kingdom of God in the Parables of Jesus Instructor Rev. Willie Tobias Jesus offers clear and yet some-mes convoluted illustra-ons of the Kingdom of God through the use of parables. This seminar will explore Jesus telling of these parables and allow students to gain a depth of understanding that will strengthen their own faith and ministry of teaching.

4 Pre- Congress Monday Intensives Scheduled as a full day for Chris-an educa-on and leadership training, the Monday Intensive is a new opportunity for church leaders and church laity to gain in- depth training on topics that are per-nent to church growth, and spiritual, family and personal development. The Monday Intensives are scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m. Monday morning and last un-l 3:00 p.m. The following classes, workshops, and seminars are offered: Leadership Training Intensives Youth Workers Workshop The Youth Workers Workshop is designed to provide youth workers the opportunity to gain insights and understandings of children and youth development. Because these are cri-cal years, it is important that youth workers are aware of appropriate stage development and have an eye for issues that may be developing. This workshop will empower youth workers to minister effec-vely to children and youth and the social, emo-onal, and rela-onal issues they present. A panel of professionals will facilitate talks throughout the intensive on issues of: depression and emo-onal health; gender iden-ty and sexuality; ministering to the hyper- ac-ve child; ministering to children experiencing loss (death or divorce); warning signs and appropriate responses; reaching the outlier in your youth group; crea-ng safe spaces/ zones for children and youth to communicate. Associate Ministers Forum Associate ministers can aid greatly in the ministry of the local church, assis-ng the pastor and serving the members. This intensive will help to effec-vely train associate ministers to understand their role, rela-onship and responsibility to the church, the pastor, and church leadership. Developing your Ministry as a Deacon This intensive is designed for deacons to help prepare and/or remind them of the calling to serve. Par-cipants will be exposed to different models of serving the congrega-on in ways that promote posi-ve rela-onships between members and between the pastor and congrega-on. Case studies will be explored to help par-cipants think through the applica-on of biblical principles in ministering effec-vely to issues that congrega-ons face such as: resolving conflicts, the ministry of benevolence, leading while calling a pastor, and the deacon s home, wife, and life. Planning an Engaging Worship Experience Intended for worship leaders, ministers of music, musicians, and all who play a part in the planning and execu-on of weekly worship, this intensive will help in the effec-ve planning and produc-on of spirit- filled worship. Par-cipants will be exposed to models, tools, and resources that will be helpful in

5 organizing, planning, and implemen-ng a worship planning team that helps to facilitate a thoughful engagement and applica-on of God s word through well- planned worship experiences. Church Intensives Church and State: The Lines, Limits, and Laws (Trustees and Business Managers) This intensive is designed to be helpful to church trustees, business managers, and all who play a role in managing the legal affairs of the church organiza-on. Church tax professionals and lawyers will be on hand to guide discussions and answer ques-ons to help keep your church in line with state and federal laws. Safety and Crisis Management in the Church No one likes to think about it, yet the reality is that every -me the doors of the church are open, the poten-al for tragedy or crisis is present. Do you have a safety plan in place? Who in your church is trained to respond to safety or health crises? Have you done your due diligence in establishing prac-ces and training selected people to help manage such instances? If not, this intensive will do just that.
