These wood carvers have also been selected to create a statue of St. John Vianney. Both the Corpus and the statue will be handcarved from linden wood, whereas the Cross will be produced from European spruce. The Corpus will be removable to enable the continuance of our parish s long held tradition of passing the Cross throughout the assembly on Good Friday. The wood carvers assigned to the project will work closely with the Arts and Furnishings sub-committee of the Rebuild Committee to ensure the finished products complement the new Church building and our parish s uniqueness. You are invited to visit the website of this worldrenowned group of artisans at where various samples of their exquisite work are posted. Their firm, which was established in 1556, is now comprised of the thirteenth generation of wood carvers who are recognized for their craftsmanship and also for producing passion plays. To start online giving, go to our home page at For regular offertory collections, click on the Ways to Give tab; click the Online Giving link. This will take you to the online donation page. Create a profile and follow the directions to designate how much you wish to give to each fund and how often. To donate to the Rise Again Campaign, go back to St. John Vianney s Home page, click on the Donate emblem under the We Will Rise Again! header. You will be redirected to the Rebuild SJV Online giving page. Follow the directions to create a pledge and new profile. You can use the same user name and for both the regular offertory and Rise Again pages. They have a regular watering schedule for all the plants throughout the year so that they can be saved and reused. However, there are times when the plants have been watered in between the scheduled times by parishioners who are wanting to help.
