Students will learn how to effectively manage their resources through a better understanding of the spiritual principles, practices, and contributions 2015 Foundations of Christian Ethics (Phase 4) Rev. Harold Butler Focus on understanding the philosophical and Christological approach to Christian Ethics. Engage in biblical principles for decision making and conduct for living Christian Character and how it Develops Dr. Brenda Elliott Lee Concentrate on the components of Christian Character. Identify methods for the growth of Christian character. Case studies will be used to apply biblical principles to contemporary social, economic, and political issues Public Speaking (Elective) Sis. Daereonni Ragland Identify the process and principles for writing speeches and delivering them in pubic. Lee Hardin Examine with simplicity and clarity the basic teaching of the Baptist Faith. Explore each doctrinal position and basis for each doctrinal in the class Millennials in Ministry Young Adults (ages 21-35) Bro. Rapheal Rogers Determine the learning styles of young adults pupils. Learn how to set goals for that age group and to identify the materials that are best suited for their learning styles.

That influence our understanding of the work of the Holy Spirit. Provide hands- on instruction about the most effective ways to witness to nonbelievers. Focus on recruiting, organizing, and preparing members for street witnessing Introduction to Discipleship (Phase 3) Rev. William Gwynn Introduce the believer to the biblical principles of discipleship. Examine the character traits of believers, while looking at the overall examples of

Burton Barr Teach students methods and procedures for the development of a prison ministry program within the church or community. Receive instructions concerning the protocols for entering jails and prisons, and the importance of working within the jail or prison structure to provide the most effective ministry to the inmates The African American Church and Social Justice (Phase 4) Investigate the lives, theology, and methods of the great servants of God who dedicated their lives in the struggle for liberation of people. Discuss the role of the African-American church in the struggle for the liberation of people. Instructor Dr. Carlton Caldwell 8066 Christianity and Contemporary Issues (Phase 4) Challenge the students to identify and confront contemporary issues. Look at the issues that affect the church, home and community. Think through practical solutions and approaches to immediate and emerging social ecclesiological concerns. Dr. Jimmy Brown 9005 Writing Techniques II (Phase 3) Dr. Claudia Fowler Emphasis will be placed the writing of documented research and the development of other skills necessary to complete the writing assignments in this phase. Help introduce the students to the library and the use of reference material.

5 5 Children s Department, Youth and Young Adults March 19-23, 2018 LTS 2030-Teaching Nursery Children (ages 3-5) (Certificate) Candance Johnson This course is for pre-school children (3-5 years of age). The children will learn information about the Bible and Jesus. Children for this class must be potty trained. Parent information must be left with instructor Baptist Youth Fellowship (ages 12-18) (Certificate) Sis. Shontell Davidson This course is designed for youth to gain better understanding and develop a closer relationship with Christ and their parents. They will be studying the S.E.E.D Series. Children s Division (ages 5-11) (Certificate) Sis. Malinda Rowsey This course is to invite children to understand Jesus Christ. The Children s division is age appropriate word and worship that connect children to Our Savior Teaching Primary Children- Sunbeams (ages 6-8) (Certificate) Sis. Marsha Bryant/ Sis. Denise Whiteside This course will introduce the mission work to the children.
