4 DISCIPLESHIP he Discipleship Committee, through the dedication and passion of its many volunteers, is able to offer the following programs to the church. However, T we are never finished, in our effort to better serve the needs of our members. We are always open to new ideas and ways to further the Discipleship of Faith Presbyterian Church. The Discipleship Committee meets the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 7:00 PM in the Parlor. All are welcome to join us. (rain date 7/25) Adult Sunday School Using The Wired Word curriculum, we will have a brief synopsis of a news story, followed by probing questions and a time for confronting the issue with scriptures and hope. We gather in room #7 (Brick Classroom) 15 minutes after the end of the worship service. Next Week Governor s Call to Reduce Violence with Prayer Inadequate, say Pastors. Consider: The Bible reminds us that God's calendar is different from ours: "But do not ignore this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like one day" (2 Peter 3:8). When does time seem to be a source of pressure and/or stress for you? When does time seem to be a blessing? Regarding time, the Bible speaks of four dimensions: past, present, future and eternity. Which one does it emphasize the most? Why do you think that is? How is time related to the call of God upon us? Discipleship Opportunities during the week New participants always welcome! Women s Devotional Fellowship meets on Thursdays at participants homes from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM.
