This will be a medical mission with Salud y Paz ( Besides medical professionals, we welcome any non medical professionals who have a heart for mission and serving others. We always need stuff. A collection container is in the church foyer to accept the following items: stickers (smiles are good) clipboards pens/pencils travel soaps, shampoos, lotions Christian themed color books sidewalk chalk reading glasses brown paper lunch bags crayons Sharpies clean empty medicine bottles (labels need to remove easily) Financial contributions to the medicine account is appreciated. 6 MAY 15 IS A BIG UPARK UMC! GRADUATES: At the picnic we would like to recognize all of our graduates. High school, college, trade school or whatever the case may be. Please let Duane know if you know of someone from our congregation who will be graduating this year: dbuys@universityparkumc.org. MOTHER S GARDEN!! The children will take time during the Sunday school hour (9:30 ) to plant flowers in the Mother s Garden. Please remember that they will be digging in the dirt, so they should wear appropriate clothing and bring a flower to plant. Some flowers will be available. ALL CHURCH CELEBRATION PICNIC We are planning to have a picnic following the 11:00 service. Come and celebrate with our graduates, the completion of another fantastic Sunday school season, and the beginning of a fantastic summer. An attraction for the children will be included. Chef Stephen Rohs will provide a BBQ with ribs, pulled pork, brats, hotdogs, and beans. BREAKFAST BURRITOS!!! On May 8, the youth will be selling breakfast burritos to raise money for the two mission trips this summer. (Middle School youth head to Alamosa, Colorado and High School youth go to San Diego, California). We will prepare the burritos on Saturday, May 7, so they will be fresh and ready be eaten for Mother s Day Brunch or you can freeze them when you get them home. You will not believe the quality of these burritos. But, it s really not as much about the burrito as it is about the great work the youth will be able to do as a result of your support.
