3 ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR OUR CHURCH FAMILY: Thanksgiving Offering: There are Thanksgiving Envelopes in everyone s Church mailbox. If you didn t get one, contact your District Deacon, or check the Fellowship Hall table for extras. The Lists on the Envelopes are just Suggestions, if you want to donate to something else, just write it into the Other Section on the bottom. If you want it to be recorded, please write your Budget Number on the Offering Envelope in the space provided. If you have any Questions, please contact your District Deacon. During our Thanksgiving Day Morning Service, we will be featuring a Thanksgiving Tree. We will have leaves available on which we would like you to write something that you are thankful for. We will have everyone come up and place their leaves on the Thanksgiving Tree as a visual way for us to remember all of the blessings that God has given us which we should thank Him for. We would love to see young and old all participate in the Thanksgiving Tree. Start to think about and talk about the things that you are thankful for! At our Congregational Meeting TOMORROW NIGHT, new Elders and Deacons will be chosen for a two-year term. Thanksgiving Day Morning Worship Service: Invite your family and friends to come and worship with us on Thursday, November 23 rd at 9:30 a.m.! We will be doing the Thanksgiving Food Offering again this year. Any items left over after one week will be given to Cooperative Ministries. We invite any and all non-perishables and toiletry items. However, Co-Op Ministries has a short supply of the following items: Flour, Sugar, Shortening, Vegetable Oil, Evaporated Milk, and Powdered Milk; these items will go straight to them. Each Program includes a Musical Performance of various genres and concludes with a Light Meal. The November performance will be held on Sunday, November 12 th featuring smooth jazz by Hannah and Grayson. COMMUNITY ANNOUNCEMENTS: IDOP TODAY. November 12 th has been designated the International Day of Prayer for the persecuted church. Join with Christians worldwide to pray for persecuted and suffering believers in Jesus Christ. "Continue to remember those in prison as if you were together with them in prison, and those who are mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering" (Hebrews 13:3). Announcing the 23 rd Annual NMCS "Building the Future" Auction, Saturday, November 18 th. The Auction is a great opportunity to connect with your Community, meet new Friends and Family, and support the mission of Northern Michigan Christian School. This year's Auction will include a mouthwatering meal of smoked ribs, brisket and turkey provided by Primos BBQ, Casey and Mary Rees, and Matt and Brenda Hamacher, all the seasonal sides rom Dawn Fresh Catering and oh-so-tasty pies from Pam Pluger. The doors will open for Dinner and browsing at 5:00 p.m., at which time you may begin bidding on Silent Auction items. The Live Auction, with our favorite auctioneer, Jim Lambert, will begin at 6:30 p.m. Bidder numbers will be available at the door, where you can also register to win the Grand Prize Giveaway of an Ultimate Comets Fan Package. We are excited to offer hundreds of great items in all price ranges, from home-baked goods, fun gift baskets, a day of fishing with Athletic Director Dave Skinner, Concert and Event tickets, a trip to the Kentucky Derby, hunting rifles and much, much more! Benefit Dinner for Ron Beerens on Saturday, November 18 th, from 5:00 8:00 p.m.at the Falmouth Community Center. Donations for Dinner & Desserts! (Please make checks payable to Clam River Chapel.) We're asking our Community Area Churches for Baked Good donations as well! Ron was electrocuted on the job back in September and fell from his ladder. He suffered a couple of breaks in his back and pelvis, as well as a shattered heel. The heel required surgical repair including 10 screws and a hinge plate. Ron has been off work and will continue to be so for the next few months until he can walk again. Thank you for your support for Ron and his wife Kathleen as they go through this difficult time! Northern Michigan Christian High School will present the musical, Mary Poppins, on Friday and Saturday, December 1 st and 2 nd at the Elenbaas Performing Arts Center at McBain High School beginning at 7:00 p.m. Tickets go on sale beginning on Monday, November 20 th in the NMCS Office and will also be sold at the door. Don't miss this production of the timeless classic with all the traditional Mary Poppins songs and magic. Tickets are $10/Adults and $8/Students.
