3 Our Church Financials at a Glance September 1, 2017 through September 30, 2017 Receipts General Fund $8, Designated (Good Sam) $ Designated (Youth Mission Trip) $30.00 Total Receipts $8, Total Expense $8, Reported by Mandy Wisdom, Treasurer Gifts Given in September ~ In memory of Jacob Turner and Erling Nielsen, given by Marlene Nielsen ~ Anonymous donation to Good Samaritan fund, for the Emergency Food Pantry Dear Congregation, The following is information for you pertaining to the present financial health of our church from the first of the year through October 22nd So far, our giving to the mission and ministry of the church has been $76, However, our expenses during this time have totaled $90, Meaning, we are short by $14, This, in and of itself, is a challenge for all of us. Additionally, as you may recall, at the Annual Meeting in January, the Congregation approved an annual budget in the amount of $122,821. In looking at this, up until October 22nd, we should have realized giving to the extent of $99, to keep up with our budget goal. Our hope is that, in providing you with this information now, we can avoid difficult conversations at the end of the year. We invite and welcome any questions or thoughts you have on the budget, stewardship, and our mission and ministry here at Milltown Lutheran Church. We are confident that together we can live out our call to proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ to this world, which desperately needs to hear it! Your prayers as well as your help are needed. Peace in Christ, Your Stewardship Committee: Sandy Christensen, Mandy Wisdom, Jeanne Alling, Kim Grossmann, and Pastor Angela Kutney. Stewardship 101 Stewardship: how we, [as Christians], use all that God has entrusted to our care our time, our talents and our treasures to love God and our neighbors, both inside and outside of the church walls and our homes. Give willingly as moved by the Holy Spirit. We have been prepared to give of ourselves. We give our time, talents, and resources freely. For, as I can testify, they voluntarily gave 2 Corinthians 8:3 ~ Pastor Angie and Your Stewardship Committee 3
