Lastly, I personally, want to thank everyone from MHT for making all this even possible and wish each one of you nothing but the best. God bless and rest assured you will forever remain in my prayers. (John) Deacon John Roth has been appointed to Saint Catherine of Siena Parish in Mount Union effective immediately. We are sad to see John leave, and are wholly supportive of his ministry! Cross Catholic Outreach Father John O Malley, O.P. will be visiting our parish the weekend of July to speak on behalf of Cross Catholic Outreach. This organization was founded to create a meaningful link between parishes in America and the priests and nuns working in the Church overseas in the Caribbean, Africa, Asia, Central and South America. Rosary The Knights of Columbus invite parishioners to join them in reciting the rosary on Sunday, July 29. The rosary will begin at 9:55 a.m. followed by our 10:15 a.m.. Steelers Training Camp Trip Interested in going to Latrobe to the Pittsburgh Steelers training camp? We are looking for at least 40 people who might like to go on a bus trip on August 11, Cost is estimated to be around $25. All parishioners are welcome! Children and youth must have an adult chaperone. Sign up sheet is located in the Gathering Space. Shopping in King of Prussia and Lights at Longwood Gardens The trip is on!! MHT parishioners have shown their support for a pre-christmas shopping trip and visit to Longwood Gardens. This bus trip will take guests to King of Prussia Mall for holiday shopping and then to Longwood Gardens to see their light display. Tenatively, the bus would leave Huntingdon at 8 a.m. on Saturday, December 1 and return approximately 11:30 p.m. If you would like to go and missed the sign up sheet, contact the church office. Further information regarding cost will be coming soon. Holy Day of Obligation The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary is a Holy Day of Obligation for Catholics in the United States. will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 15 at 9:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. No Vigil. FAITH FORMATION NEWS Catechists Needed This year we are searching for Catechists to teach faith formation classes in Grades 6 and 7. We are open to combining the classes for one teacher if two teachers cannot be found. Please consider giving of your time to our youth s faith formation! We are also looking for three substitute teacher s aides. Faith Formation Class Schedules for are available in the Gathering Space. They will also be distributed to the students at the first class. We are still accepting Faith Formation Registration forms. Please call the Church Office if you have a child starting Kindergarten this year! Families and the Gospel Mark 6:7-13 Jesus sent out His apostles without a lot of things because THINGS distract. We collect, argue about and protect our things. We even ignore each other because we have things to do. What things are separating you from your family?

There are two camp sessions July 22 to 27 and July 29 to August 3 at Camp Sequanota in Jennerstown. Contact Francine Swope at for more information. The camp is sponsored by the Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown. Saint Anne Triduum A triduum in honor of St Anne will be held July 24, 25, & 26 at Saint John Gualbert Cathedral, 117 Clinton Street, Johnstown. and devotions will be held at 7:00 p.m. each evening with confessions following. Our budget for the same period is $22,640 which means we were $1, under budget for the month. Weekly Collections for the 2017/2018 fiscal year were $270, Our fiscal year s budget for weekly collections was $294,320. We thank everyone for their generous support. Gift Card sales for the month of June totaled $10,605, showing a profit of $ Total sales for the fiscal year were $160,400 for a profit of $7, Last year s total for the same timeframe were: sales of $156,855 for a profit of $6, Remember that gift cards are available weekly for any type of purchases from a large selection of stores. Purchasing gift cards through the SCRIP Program is a great way to help support the church. A percentage of each card sold goes directly to Most Holy Trinity. Special Collections for June, 2018 were: Baby Bottle Boomerang $511.76, Black & Indian Missions $40.00, Catholic Communications $10.00, Catholic Register $8.00, Haiti $147.77, Peter s Pence $346.00, Saint Vincent de Paul $ Total Special Collections for the 2017/2018 fiscal year totaled $27, State of Parish Meeting On June 23, 2018 a State of the Parish meeting was held after the 5:00 p.m.. At that meeting, the past fiscal year s income and expenses and the approved budget for the 2018/2019 fiscal year was presented. The balanced budget for the new fiscal year showed income of $370,800 and the same amount of corresponding expenses. A category breakdown of the budget is available at the office. Also presented were the year s upkeep and maintenance plans for Holy Cross Cemetery. A question and answer session as well as general discussion on fundraising ideas followed. The meeting adjourned with a prayer from Father Mark.
