Helping Haiti Ministry Members of the Helping Haiti Ministry fully support the twinning projects that unites Most Holy Trinity parishioners with their brothers and sisters in St. Joseph s Parish, Lalomas, Haiti. Recently, we heard from Deacon Rick Letto. Deacon Rick s Holy Spirit parish in Stevens Point, WI also twins with St. Joseph s parish. Deacon Rick had returned from a mission trip to Lalomas. He spoke highly of Fr. Max, the new priest. The twinning projects including several Pastoral Associates are going well. We will soon begin our popular sticky bun fundraising events. Families and the Gospel Mark 14:12-16, One gets the impression there was always a lot of sharing, discussion and learning during the many meals Jesus and the disciples ate together. How does this compare to the meals in your home? Today s gospel challenges us to make our meals more than physical functions and more a time for sharing. 3 THE BODY AND BLOOD OF CHRIST COMMUNITY NEWS AND INFORMATION The food items for the Huntingdon Area Food Bank for the month of June are Cereal and hand soap. Toilet tissue and soap are always accepted. The Healing Patch 1 in 7 children in America will lose a parent or sibling by the age of 20. Behind this staggering statistic are real children grieving children who often say that they feel alone because others just don t understand. They need help and support to know that they are not alone. And that s what they get through Home Nursing Agency s Healing Patch: A Program for Loss and Hope for Grieving Children and Their Families. The Healing Patch is a free service to support grieving children through family sessions, in-school groups, grief education, and more. Volunteers are the heart of the Healing Patch, as they facilitate activities to help children and adults connect and share their feelings in a safe and welcoming environment. Join us for an Open House on Thursday, June 14 from 5:30 7:30 pm at the Home Nursing Agency Corporate Office, 20 Sheraton Dr., Altoona.
