1 Volume 65 / Week Number 21 / May 22, 2014 The Messenger first baptist huntsville learn here. FirST THouGHTS David Hull, pastor I love what Albert Einstein said about questions. He wrote in Relativity: The Special and the General Theory, Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. The important thing is to not stop questioning. Of course, he was a pretty smart guy who found some pretty important answers to those questions. And yet he said, It is not that I m so smart. But I stay with the questions much longer. There is something that we can this sunday May 25, 2014 The Sixth Sunday of Easter SErMoN The Demons Knew Him Mark 1:23-25, The church should be a place where we come to ask questions. These questions can be about life, faith, the Bible, God, or other parts of our life that may contain some mystery. I love it when your reading of the Scriptures stirs a question in you that you bring to me. In fact, my sermon for this Sunday comes as a response to a conversation that I had with a church member who helped me to think about something through his questions that I had never considered before. I may not have all of the answers yet, but the question is helping me to understand a deeper truth in the Bible. Join us this Sunday for The Demons Knew Him. (With special thanks to our church member Bill Foreman for helping me to think about this topic.) The theme of questions will continue on Wednesday nights. Beginning on May 28, I will address some of the questions that you have been asking about life, faith, and the Bible. During Prayer Meeting people have been turning in cards with questions on them. In addition, I would welcome any questions that you want to send to my at david@fbchsv.org. I will compile all of the questions and address the ones that seem to be asked the most in a series I am calling I Have a Question. You may or may not get the answer that you are looking for, but if we can stay with the questions much longer we might find that God stretches our minds and hearts as our faith grows. With the world at war, elder daughter Cameron, a rookie reporter (with the disapproval of her father) seeks an assignment in war-torn Europe. Middle daughter, Blair, a struggling actress, becomes facinated with Hollywood, while Jackie, the youngest and a UCLA freshman, discovers the price of a special friendship. And his lovely wife, Cecilia - was she too weak to stand up to him, or did her Christian faith provide the strength to try to hold the familiy together?
