Answer: 51%-It has been the tradition of the Church for quite a long time that all candles used during the liturgy be made up of at least 51% beeswax. 3 St. Gregory s Parishioners and friends. Oremus Let Us Pray Do you find it easy to pray? Is prayer an integral part of your day? Do you hear God s voice in your daily life, and know how to respond accordingly? Our next meeting is November 14, 2017 Oremus is a faith formation program that will teach you the essentials of a fruitful prayer life. Over the course of eight weeks you will discover how God speaks to you, even in the smallest encounters. Following the Tradition of the Catholic Church and the wisdom of the Saints, you will learn how to express yourself to God in prayer, and how to hear his voice. Weekly sessions include mass at 7:00 p.m. followed by a short video with group discussion. New members are welcome. Bake & Craft Sale The CWL Annual Bake and Craft Sale will be held on Saturday, November 25th from 1:00 to 6:00PM and also before and after the masses on Sunday, November 26th in the Parish Hall. Come early on Saturday for the best selection. CWL members and parishioners wishing to donate baking to this worthy fundraiser can come to the Parish Hall by noon on Friday, November 24th or on Saturday, November 25th before 11:00AM. The Craft Group will have wool for sale at $2.00 a bag or donation. This fundraiser benefits the Parish and other worthy causes. We hope you will support this event!

4 Youth Ministry in Sault Ste. Marie. The following programs are open to all young people in the city: Students in Grade 6,7,and 8: all students in this age range regardless of school or parish are invited to take part in EDGE-a Catholic Youth Night, every Thursday at 7:00pm at St. Jerome's Church (26 Carmel Road). Every evening is full of games, Catholic teachings, socials and food! Young Adults age 18-25: All Young Adults aged are invited to take part in Elevate our Catholic Young Adults Group that meets every Friday at 6:30 pm at St. Jerome s Church. There is a free home-cooked meal, followed by fellowship, talks or socials. Everyone Welcome Bring a friend! Can you help? We are in need of someone who is willing to become a Lector Co-coordinator. Your duties will include making the schedule for Lectors. Please call Danny Schaer at if you can help. JOY-Full Socks was launched in 2011 by Leslie Cassidy-Amadio. She is launching this campaign again in hopes of once again helping those in need. It is very easy to be involved. You can purchase a pair of socks; men s, women s or children s and fill them with age and gender appropriate grooming articles. Grooming products may include soap, shampoo, cream rinse, toothpaste, toothbrush, floss, hand lotion, combs, hair brushes or razors. Just to mention a few items. You can donate in many ways: purchase and fill socks, donate socks unfilled or donate grooming products. There are so many ways to be involved and each and every way will make a difference. The filled socks and other donations are presented to seven different charities, including the Soup Kitchen. Last year, thanks the generous donations, we were able to help over 300 individuals in need at Christmas time, many of them were children. 5 Journey Lottery Message Everyone is excited that the Journey s multi-purpose building, historical gallery and courtyard featuring Our Lady at the Rapids is under construction. To match the excitement, the Journey lottery has been changed as advised by many. This year s lottery will have a grand prize draw of $25,000 and five additional draws of $1,000 each. The tickets will be drawn on Holy Saturday, March 31, 2018 at 12 pm at Precious Blood Cathedral. Remember there are only 6,000 tickets printed. Join the excitement and support the Journey Lottery. Jesus said: If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, streams of living water will flow from within him. Jesus promised that God s Holy Spirit would satisfy the thirst, or deepest longing, of all who believe in Him. We as Christians fail to understand the Holy Spirit or how to experience Him in their daily lives.
