We may think that we look to God for these things, but we often run to friends, family, work, passions and habits.worshiping God s gifts is IDOLATRY. Join us as we investigate God s Word and examine our own hearts. God wants us to worship Him alone Our study will focus on how we can by God s grace turn from our idols (some we have not recognized), to a whole hearted love for God. PHILLY HARVEST 2013 Date: September 28 Location: Wells Fargo Center, Philadelphia Teens: Invite your friends to this outreach event. Pray that God will do amazing things in your life and your unsaved friend s life. Called to Worship? Our Worship Choir and Praise Teams are looking for those called to minister in song. If you have a singing gift to share, please come and join in on our spirited time of making music at our first choir rehearsal on Wednesday, September 11 th at 7:45 p.m. We are also looking for instrumental and percussion players (or those wishing to learn). Please let Cindi Decker know of your interest by TODAY for either vocal or instrumental! Music Give Away: Here is your opportunity to pick up some free music from the Music Office clearance! They are across from Room 17 near Lost and Found items; music/books are marked with a colored sticker with the letters MGA. Please enjoy them! There are collections from various music publishers including CDs and sheet music from Brooklyn Tabernacle and Word Music. Some children s stories on cassette and various other formats (really old up to brand new) will also be offered each week. They will be sharing about their work and joining us as we celebrate the Lord s Supper and gather afterwards for our Fruit of the Spirit Fellowship. We are asking you to bring a creative fruit dish to share with your brothers and sisters in Christ. We have placed some creative recipes for the fruits that we have used on the bulletin board under the sign-up sheet for the fellowship. Please sign up today so we can adequately prepare for you. We will be studying Paul s Second Letter to the Corinthian Church that God had gloriously saved but was still in the process of changing to be more like Christ and dealing with the struggles and issues of its day.
