1 Lesson #: 1 Lesson Title: Paul Travels All Over Preaching for Jesus Scripture: Acts 5. Sing books of the Bible. 6. Songs 7. Story lesson. 8. Activity *on Paul s first journey he went to new places teaching and new churches were created. *on Paul s second journey he went back to visit a lot of the Christians and churches again. *Paul wrote many letters to correct or encourage the Christians in the many areas he traveled to. *sometimes Paul s trip were good and sometimes they were scary. *Paul had faith in God and always believed God would take care of him. 1. When we are scared, we can have faith like Paul that God will take care of us. 2. We can work hard for the Lord, like Paul. 3. We can love other Christians like Paul loved other Christians. 4. Activity *Paul wrote many letters and one letter he wrote was to the people of Corinth. *in Corinthian letter Paul talked about love. *God is love. *God tells us in His word what true and righteous love is about. *God s love is perfect. *God sacrificed Jesus because He loves us and does not want anyone to be separated from Him. *God wants Christians to show love to each other and the people of the world. 1. 3 Lesson #: 3 & 4 Lesson Title: Fruit of the Spirit Scripture: Galatians 5:22-26, Ephesians 4:32 *Paul tells the Galatians that to avoid sin we need to grow in the fruit of the Spirit. *we need to be humble. *we should not make each other angry. *the we should not envy one another. 1. We must show godly love to all people. 2. We can show love for others by sharing, helping, and obeying. 3. If we grow in the fruit of the Spirit, God will be pleased with us. 4. God s spirit wants to help everyone in God s family grow godly fruit in their lives. 4 Lesson #: 5 Lesson Title: Children Obey Your Parents Scripture: Ephesians 6:1-4, 1 Tim. 5:8, Titus 2:4, Heb. 12: 7-11, Prov. 13:24 *God s plan for the structure of the family. *God expects children to obey their parents. *discipline is a very important and necessary part of the responsibility of being a parent. *children are known by their actions whether they are good or bad. 1. Each member of the family has a special role. 2. When children obey their parents this makes for a happy family. 3. Obeying parents is a command from God. 4. God is happy when we obey Him. 5 Lesson #: 6 & 7 Lesson Title: Armor of God Scripture: Ephesians 6:10-20 *Paul tells the Ephesians to put on the armor of God to protect themselves from Satan. *the different parts of armor symbolize what God gives us to protect ourselves against evil. *Paul tells the Ephesians to pray all the time. 1. If we put on the armor of God we will be stronger when we are tempted to sin. 2. God gives us what we need. 3. We must put God s word in our heart and be willing to obey it to fight the battle. 4. 6 Lesson #: 8 Lesson Title: Worship- Singing and Giving Scripture: Colossians 3:16, Eph. 5:19, 1 Cor. 16:2 *Christians must worship God just as we are taught in the, not adding to or taking any part away. *there is beauty and joy in singing praises to God. *we give to God with love and joy. 1. We can worship God by singing to Him. 2. We are commanded to give back a portion of what God has blessed us with. 3. Singing and giving please the Lord. 7 Lesson #: 9 Lesson Title: Worship- Praying, Listening, & Lord s Supper Scripture: 1Thess. 5:16-18, 1 Cor. 11:17-33 *prayer, listening, and eating of the Lord s supper are proper parts of worship and that they are taught by example and command in the. *there is a proper attitude toward the Lord s supper as well as what it includes and represents. *God wants us to talk to Him in prayer anywhere, anytime, especially in worship. 1. Our worship to God should be genuine and sincere. 2. During worship we must listen and show respect to God in all that we do. 3. 8 Lesson #: 10 Lesson Title: Spiritual Family, Elders, Deacons Scripture: 1 Timothy 3, Titus 2 *Jesus is the head of the church. *God has given us a special church family. *Each person has a special role in the church. *Men and women have different roles in the church. *God gives us leaders in the church called elders. *Elders must meet certain godly requirements to be chosen. *Christians in the church must serve one another. 1. Christ is the only head of the church. 2. We must follow and obey our elders. 3. God gives us certain requirements to be a deacon or elder. 4. 9 Lesson #: 11 Lesson Title: Faith Scripture: Hebrews 11 *faith is believing with our hearts what we cannot see with our eyes. *the Bible gives many examples of people that had a faith that pleased God. *faith is made stronger by studying God s Word and trusting God. *God tells us about special heroes of faith in Hebrews Knowing God s Word strengthens our faith. 2. We must let our light shine of faith to others. 3. We should follow the examples of faith given in Hebrews God wants us to have a faith that is genuine and sincere. 10 Lesson #: 12 Lesson Title: Heaven Scripture: Revelation 2:10, 21:4 *God tells us about heaven in the Bible. *Heaven is where God lives. *Jesus is sitting at the right hand of God in heaven, interceding for us. *Being in heaven with God would not be possible without the sacrifice of Christ. 1. Heaven is our reward for eternity if we are obedient while on earth. 2. God loves everyone and want everyone to be in heaven with Him. 3.
