2 Corpus Youth Christi Ministry Corpus Christi Catholic Church 300 N. Tanque Verde Loop Rd Tucson, AZ (520) Fax (520) We use a comprehensive model of youth ministry with three main points: Faith, Fellowship and Service. The goal is also three fold: 1) To empower young people to live as Disciples of Jesus Christ in our world today. 2) To draw young people to responsible participation in the life, mission, and work of Jesus and the Catholic faith community. 3) To foster the total personal and spiritual growth of each young person. The goal of the Youth Ministry Team is to create a youth friendly parish which threads the youth throughout the community. We invite the youth to have a more active participation in the mission of Jesus and in the church as a whole. We will strive to create social activities with peers in a moral and Christian atmosphere and embrace and explore the teaching of the Bible during our Youth Group sessions. The youth will have the opportunity to discover and evangelize the mission of Jesus through fulfilling and uplifting parish, community and global service! NEW SUNDAY MEET UP TIMES Our Corpus Christi youth groups have grown tremendously and to help with the busy schedules of these amazing youth and their families we will continue with BOTH our JR High School & High School/Confirmation meet ups on Sundays. This format will allow continued participation post Confirmation as well as set sessions for new candidates, focused on preparation for the Sacrament. Jr High School 11am to 12:15pm & High School/Confirmation 12:15pm to 1:30 Specific times may vary and Wednesday nights once a month will also be available for special presentations and as set make ups for missed Confirmation sessions.

Pool Parties, Rocks&Ropes & Movies!

4 HIGH SCHOOL & JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL YOUTH GROUPS Sundays 11am-12:15pm JR HS & 12:15-1:30 HS/pre-Confirmation meet ups. Missions, events, projects, parties throughout the year. VENTURE CREW 747 Opportunity for guys and girls, yrs. old. On-going. Contact Chip Travers to plan outings such as backpacking, whitewater rafting, major service projects, etc. BOY SCOUT TROOP 747 For guys who want to learn about the great outdoors, be part of an award winning troop, and learn new respect for God, country, and family. Meets weekly on Thursday nights at Corpus Christi. On-going. Contact Chip Travers ALTAR SERVING For guys and girls in the 4th grade and up who have made their First Communion. Scheduled well in advance. Training provided. Contact Kathy at the parish office. USHERING For guys and girls in 9 th grade and beyond. Help out at Mass. Scheduled well in advance. Training provided. LITURGY OF THE WORD FOR CHILDREN (LWC) Offered at the 9:45 mass on Sunday. Youth assist the leader and celebrate the Liturgy of the Word for Children. RETREATS, EVENTS, MISSIONS & SERVICE PROJECTS Offered through out the year to all the youth! CONFIRMATION Regular meet up on Sundays. The Sacrament of Confirmation calls High School aged youth to a deeper commitment and involvement in the Church. LECTOR (** POST CONFIRMATION) For high school age youth post Confirmation. 6 PHOTO RELEASE: Corpus Christi Church has my permission to have my youth s picture taken while attending Youth Ministry Activities. The pictures will be used at the parish (i.e. newsletters, bulletins, bulletin board, flyers, YG slideshows, etc.) and on our parish web site ( and/or Facebook page ( Christi YouthMinistry). Photos on Parish websites and Parish Social Media sites will not and cannot be tagged with teens individual names.
