2 Basic Bible Questions #1 1. What do we mean when we say that the Bible is "inspired?" Read: 2 Peter 1:20-21 (Matthew 10:19-20; 2 Timothy 3:16-17) According to this Scripture: Were the writers of the Scriptures moved by anything other than their own wills? 2. Just how complete and final was the revelation that was made to the apostles in the first century? Read: John 16:13 According to this Scripture: Did Jesus say how much of the truth the Holy Spirit or the Spirit of truth would guide the apostles into? How much? Read: 2 Peter 1:3 According to this Scripture: How much of that pertaining to life and godliness has been given to us by God's divine power? Page 2

Read: Acts 2:36-41,47 (KJV) According to this Scripture: Did the Lord save those believers who repented and were baptized? Were those who were saved added to anything? To what were they added? Was that to which they were added a man made denomination? If so, which one? If we today do just what these 3,000 did, will we be just what they were? If not, why not? 2. Is division among those who believe in Christ acceptable to God? Read: John 17:20-21 According to this Scripture: Of what did Jesus pray concerning the unity of His disciples? Is it now the will of God that his people partake of the Lord's Supper? Read: 1 Corinthians 11:23-26 According to this Scripture: In partaking of the Lord's Supper, how long are Christians to "proclaim (show) the Lord's death?" Read: Acts 20:7 (Acts 2:42; John 4:23-24) According to this Scripture: What was the particular day upon which the disciples came together to "break bread? As Christians, would we please God if we failed to observe the Lord's Supper on this particular day? Do men have the right to change the day of observance of the Lord's Supper to any other day they may choose? Page 16
