They are the only full service healthcare provider. Each month, they give lifesaving healthcare to inpatients who have little or no funds. Many of these patients are orphans, abandoned children, and children of impoverished families. Domestic: Red Bird Clinic Community Health, Kentucky is providing health programs for low income, underinsured and uninsured persons in remote areas. Red Bird Clinic, Inc. now focuses on a community health nurse outreach and prescription assistance providing 3630 units of service. Local Church Ministry: Health Ministries Team oversees various health ministry opportunities for our congregation like the emergency response team for Sunday morning and the AED equipment.

5 Food Drive for Hope Chest at Neighborhood Hy-Vee Saturday, April 25 Our food drive collection day at the neighborhood Hy-Vee in the fall was such a success, were having another! Members of Valley View will be at Hy-Vee from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 25 th to collect donations of food for Hope Chest Food Pantry. Come and do your shopping that day and help feed the hungry. To sign up, contact Jeanette Grenz. Or sign up online at under current events. G-Force Vacation Bible School: Registration is OPEN! G- Force VBS will be June (9:00 a.m. 12:00 p.m.) and our VBS celebration will be on June 18 at 6:00 p.m. Register online by visiting and clicking on ministries/programs. Weekday Children s Programs Fall enrollment has begun! The Valley View United Methodist Preschool and Parent s Day Out Programs have openings for the school year. Our daycare program is full and currently has a waiting list. Parking Lot Work Phase 1 of our parking lot work is complete! Phase 2 begins Monday, April 6th. The workers will be working in the South lot on Monday and Tuesday and in the North lot on Wednesday or Thursday or possibly the next week. After work on each lot is completed, the lot will be completely closed to people and cars for hours. Weather may alter this schedule Leadership Training Monday, April 27 6:30pm Are you called to lead a small group of adults? Teach children s Sunday School? Mentor a youth? On Monday, April 27 at 6:30 p.m., Pastor Bridget and Janet will be leading a workshop for all interested in Christian Education. Whether you have taught Sunday School for years or are interested in leading a small group this is for you! Whether you are interested in working with adults, youth, or children this training will give you the information, help and encouragement you need to explore leading others in their spiritual journey. Wednesday, April 15 12:00pm Our Adult Ministries Team would like to invite you to join them for an afternoon with Friends, Fried Chicken and Fiddle playing on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at 12:00 p.m.! Lunch is being catered by Hy-Vee for a suggested donation of $6.00 per person. Our menu for this afternoon will be fried chicken, garden salad, pasta salad and dessert. Be sure to wear your music stompin shoes for our time with our guest this afternoon, Wynne Jennings. Spring Cleaning at Valley View Saturday April 18 9:00am Grab a mop, bring your Swiffers! Its time to do some spring cleaning of our beautiful church! We will have a list of jobs for people to choose from that day. All are welcome, we will even have jobs for kids! Wash & Worship Youth Fundraiser Sunday, April 19 8:30am 12:30pm Drop your car off with us look for the designated drop off and pick up area. While you worship, your car will be washed and dried; or you can drive through our car wash line. The suggested donation is $5.00 to wash, dry and clean windows (per vehicle). All donations go to our 2015 week of growth and mission. United Methodist Men Saturday, April 18 7:30 a.m. Please join the Valley View United Methodist Men for our monthly meeting. Breakfast is first, followed by our guest speaker. This month's speaker is none other than our own pastor, Neil Gately. Please come, bring a friend, and give a listen to Neil. Ladies Spring Brunch Saturday, April 25 10:00 a.m. UMW, with Hope Circle as hostess, is sponsoring "A Spring Brunch" for ALL Valley View Ladies and guests to be held on Saturday, April 25 at 10:00 a.m. Our own Valley View Master Gardener, Twylia Church, will present a program on Container Gardening.
