The goal is $23,500, and the total raised so far is $ A COLUMBARIUM FOR CENTRAL Many in the congregation have expressed an interest in the construction of a Columbarium for our church. A Columbarium is a multi-unit structure, usually of granite, housing urns containing cremated remains of loved ones. You will soon be receiving a survey letter from the Planning committee asking for your input on this idea. If there is enough interest, it would be constructed in the grassy area to the west of the Chapel. USHER-GREETER TRAINING A training session for all new people signed up to serve as ushers and greeters, as well as any who would like a refresher course, will be held on Sunday, February 28. Meet in the sanctuary at 9 a.m. Contact Billy Ewing with any questions. Help Needed. CENTRAL TO HOST ASTL Central will host the winter event of the Anderson School of Theology for Laypersons on March 4-5. This event is being co-sponsored by our presbytery and will feature well known author and speaker Diana Butler Bass. The theme will be Grounded: Finding God in the World. There will be four presentations: God in a Post- Religious Time, The Rise of the Mystics, Religion in America: Decline or Transformation? and T he Demo cratizatio n o f Religion. All sessions will take place in the sanctuary except Saturday afternoon, which will be in the Fellowship Hall. Session I will be Friday, March 4, from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Sessions II and III will be Saturday morning from Session IV will be from 1-3 Saturday afternoon. Box lunches will be available, but need to be r e s e r v e d. V i s i t foothillspresbytery.org/groundedfinding-god-in-the-world/ to reserve lunch. All are welcome to attend! EASTER EGG HUNT! Join us on Saturday March 26th at 10am for our annual church Easter Egg hunt followed by a picnic lunch! Each child should bring 12 filled eggs (candy should be peanut safe). We will have special jumbo eggs for our smaller friends 2 and younger and crafts to enjoy by all!!! Cost for the picnic lunch is $4/ person : we will be serving chicken tenders, Josh s Pimento cheese sandwiches, fruit, and pasta salad! If we have nice weather make sure to bring a blanket to enjoy a picnic on the lawn with your church family!
