Diane Hett, Director of Respite Ministry, or dhett@stlukeum.com One of the greatest joys of serving on staff or volunteering at Respite Care is the opportunity to get to know our participants. These women and men have led such interesting and full lives and have wonderful stories to share. One is the son of a sea captain, born in Scotland and educated at Notre Dame. Four men were career military who enjoy sharing their varied experiences with one another. One woman started and taught in one of the first Beauty Schools in Columbus. Two are accomplished musicians. Respite Care is a ministry to the Caregivers, participants and also to those who have the privilege of serving.
